I just added my necro armor to my hall, and its showing up red instead of blue Anyway to fix it? Most i found out in game is, thats its due to it being dyed before the nightfall dye update

My relatively new (4 months or so) Druids shows up as white when I had it dyed silverblue.

No idea why, although I only saw the change after I dyed some of the pieces of my Druids in different colors.

Yeah, the HoM sucks. I hope Anet is at least attempting to fix it.

Wouldn't hold your breath though.

I hate how all the armors display as one colour. Serious wtf.

Yeah I got Flowing for my monk a while back, and it looks like **** without the black dye on it. I look at the statue and just bleed my eyes out TT.

yeah I have flowing on my monk....even RE-dyed it white so it would show up white and it STILL shows up blue! (and its the set he always wears....no idea why it changed back to blue after the first time).

First, all your armor shows up with the color of the chest piece you are currently wearing.

Second, if you aren't wearing any armor, or if the dye job was done before the new dye system, you default to some prespecified color.

This may explain some of the discrepancies.

Ahh, so that's why my monk obsidian is some ugly beige color. That's so dumb.

my monk wears the flowing tats dyed (a few weeks ago even redyed) white....I did it especially for the HoM, the first time I went in to add it, it was white, since then its been blue......(have a screen of the blue but not the white).

This is straight from Wiki about the Armor Dye. I went and looked also because of having 15k Drakscale was dyed about 20 months ago and it looks like crap as well, So i just gave up and living with it. Just another thing very disappointing to the HoM for me.
  • All armor on display will take on the color of the chest piece you were wearing when entering the Hall, regardless of the respective color of each set. The color of the display statues will stay that of the chest piece you were wearing when you entered, even if you change armor while in the Hall. The color of the display statues will also change if you display a new armor set, to the chest piece color of this new armor set. The color will also change if you rearrange the armors, to the color of the chest piece equipped on you while rearranging. Note that if you go in without wearing a chest piece the armors will keep the color from your last visit, ignoring any other pieces you are currently wearing.

i put my primeval in my Hom, i had it dyed green/brown.

i put it in my HoM it was white.

i heard that it shows up the colour of the armor you walk in with.

i had my kurzick on which is dyed white, put that up.
then changed to my primeval.

wiki is not always right......

my ele seems to have a similar problem, no matter what armor she puts on the colors dont change (kind of strange to see armors of different colors in the monument). And she tried re-arranging, leaving and returning....the color just stays the color it was----which I dont mind, but I just thought I would let you know. (will need to get the last piece of vabbi and she what happens when I put that one up!).

its so dumb you need to use the "new" dye in-order for your armor to be registered in that specific color.

Yeah i know,
The problem is that the new black displays much darker then the old ones and there is no way in getting back your old black ...
even if there are some dye combinations that seem to come close: Old Black Dye Recipe

I would by no means give up my old black for the new one on most of my older armor sets ... just forget the HoM in guild wars and hope we at least get some benefit in GW2 that isn't "wrong colored"

Cheers,
