First time through Proph, probably around 5-6 weeks. By the 8th char, I could do it in about 10 days or so. Non-Tyrians chars, 3 days from LA to the end, plus another couple of days if I go to Ascalon and do all the missions.

Factions, 1st time just over 3 weeks, doing everything; can do it now in 5-6 days.

NF I haven't yet completed with my 2 Elonan chars; non-Elonan, 1st one took maybe 5 weeks (I spent almost a week just getting rank 6 in LB), the rest probably about 3 weeks or so, although I seem to recall my ranger went through a bit faster.

EotN, the one char so far, about 10 days I think, but I was kind of playing it off and on.

I had the game sitting on my shelf since the day it came out but only installed it a half year after getting it. It was a present, I had no idea what i am getting into when I installed the game, I also have not played any MMORPG before, only RPG. total noob. got cheated many times et cetera, bad experience actually at first. see because i did not know there is a story to complete, reach level 20 for a long time and still did not complete the game. I think it took me about half a year to complete prophecies, done everything on my own without wiki. That's why I have all the now missing spots to fill up to complete my cartography title *sigh*

completed factions around 1-2 months, completed nightfall with the prophecies character a month before Eye of the north came out and has completed Eye of the North with that same character.

Going to slowly enjoy the rest of my 16 characters slots :P one for each profession, some are there for the bags :P.

Factions: No one to help with the Luxon Turtle protecting mission o.O
NF: Getting there, get side tracked a lot and end up helping Guildies
GWEN: Bringing all 12 characters though slowly, no one has finished it yet :/ I get tired from grinding all the chars though by the time I've helped the 3 sides (should concentrate on 1 char lol)

go to the left immediately upon entering the mission without letting the turtles clan follow you. kill everything, come back to get the turtles. map the place while your doing it its easier because there will be no other monsters there, just run along the edge.

1st thru Proph: lil less than 2 weeks (just finish storyline, took my time, was stuck on mishes a bit)
1st thru Factions: 1 day to reach vizunah and do quests, stuck there for days due to major bugs when released, did the rest in 4 days (cartography/capping included)
1st thru NF: recent stuff, almost done in a few days (always capping and exploring every area before entering the next)

My most recent char:

-Survivor (still alive)
-Henching everything, no help/farm/runner/mission glitch (Gyala etc)
-Protector of Tyria/Cantha
-Skill Hunter Tyria/Cantha
-100% Cartographer Tyria Cantha
-NF 70% explored, more than half Mishes mastered (first time thru NF)
->from 1Mil Xp to all this ->8days
So i'm KOABD atm and prolly PKM this week-end

gotta say, playing a campaign for the first time, knowing nothing about it, as a Survivor is very amusing
(HM aint gonna be that fun though )

Factions is 100 times easier when doing it with henchies, PUGing for missions like i did the first time is such a pain...

(btw: exploring JQ and FA as a Survivor is really annoying task ^^ )

I think the question should be
How long did it take you to totaly Finished the game by doing every mission/quest plus bonus ect not just end mission
and you were born in that campain.
I can't see anyone doing everything in Profs in 2 days from pre to hells O.o
Anyway
I have only just finished Profs on 1 char after 2 years and 1 month.
I took my time did all missions quests explored everywhere
and somehow got Grandmaster cartographer
before finishing Hells Precipice mish plus bonus.
Was also playing other chars and having a real life. lol
Go figure.

Prophercies a few months!

Factions and Nightfall a few weeks!

But as another poster said, it can take longer to get every last quest done. I have only just recently managed to complete the last titan quests and the Sorrows Furncase content from about 2 years ago.

I still have one Nightfall quest to do and the off few GWEN quests!

I have only rarely set foot into elite zones and I might try those now. The content can take longer then just "completion of a campaign" time.

Prophecies - took a good 4-5 months. It was my first online RPG, so I had a lot to learn. With no wiki to help and no guild for a while, I wasted a lot of time spamming flare with a few fire storms thrown in for fun I like to do every quest as I go on my main character (ele), and also map out every area 100% as I go. This turned out to be a nice surprise when titles came out and I almost had my cartography and skill hunters done (in addtion to protector)

Factions - took 4-8 weeks probably. Same story as above except I now have a clue and a decent guild to help out

Nightfall - 2-3 weeks. Even though I know of wiki now, I specifically DON'T use it until my first character gets thru the game - its more fun to figure things out on my own and think a little bit Same pattern, all quests, all maps 100% as I go.

GWEN - 3-4 weeks. Same pattern, no wiki, all maps/quests complete as I go, all dungeons as I find them, etc. Took a bit longer because I was really busy with real life when this one came out

Nice thread - it was fun to think back and remember my journey.... I like to jump into the game as much as possible and soak up every tidbit of info the first time through.

Never finished Nightfall.

Took me a year or so to "finish" Prophecy (kept on making new characters and got bored before the end).

Factions took about 6 months (stopped playing halfway through).

If this is about actual hours it took, I'll have to look at my characters, but I think Factions took about 30 hours total, if I remember correctly.

For better explanation: I tend to go into a campaign to get a particular armor or skill I want, then switch characters. Thus I have 12 characters, and only a few "completed" campaigns.

If it's total play time:
Proph-I'd say 2 months
Factions-A week
Nightfall-Week
Eotn-5 days

If you count in inactivity between each completion, then it's taken me about 2 years to beat Proph.

Prophs: Over a year (Made numerous characters, did all sorts of pointless things like just farming mergoyles, I was a noob and it was fun, the good ol' days).
Factions: 2 months possibly (I was still more intrested in prophicies ).
Nightfall: 3 days (Protector in 4)
GWEN: 2 days (Did with a friend all the way so was easy, I also did alot of the side stuff but had a blast doing it)

DOA: Not Fully Done
Urgoz: Never Finished
Deep: Never Finished
All Dungeons : 10/18 NM/ 1/18 HM
SF: Did the easy farm ones over and over but never every quest on one character
UW+FOW Completion: Not yet .
I think ill get round to doing the elite areas soon.

By that measure I've never finished anything

I think it's a good measure, though, because the length of a campaign or expansion isn't the length of it's principle plotline. EotN is the most sparklingly obvious example of that, but it's true across the board. There's so much side stuff to do that my primary character, who "finished" all the campaigns in October, still has a quest log a mile long and a to-do list even longer than that. Oh, and I still haven't even found half the side stuff in GWEN (I love how it's hidden out in the world instead of in the towns, gives me incentive to explore in those gorgeous areas).

Doesn't going to the left trigger the turtles/Luxons to start walking? Go to the right and loop back around to start the movement.

Anyways, when I was going for the Protector title, I got all three campaigns done in about a week. I took a few days getting through EotN, going slow and trying to do most of the dungeons/books to get armor and whatnot. Not exactly difficult or time consuming. But when I first started playing it took me just as long to get to the mainland in Cantha, lol.

Yet another ultra slowpoke here. I took well over 2 years before any character finished Prophesies, and almost a year and a half to finish Factions, and about a year to finish NF.. GW:EN took a week or so to finish the story line and still haven't done all the dungeons yet.

Mind you the ONLY character to finish any of this is my Canthan mesmer. I could have "finished" sooner, but I was looking to get her protector titles. So I redid several factions missions I hadn't gotten masters on in Factions and went back and did Eternal Grove even after HM was unlocked for the title. Same with Prophecies.. ended up PUG'ing for the bonus on THK and Glint. NF I only had to redo a few missions for masters.. managed it the first time through on most of those.. almost all H/H. Have yet to do a PUG in GW:EN.

I have a few characters that are close to finishing up a given chapter, but I like my mesmser best, so she's working on Guardian titles for most of my playtime while the rest are inching along.

Prophecies, maybe 3 weeks. Took a bit longer to get all M+B for Protector though.
Factions, only done 5/12 but I have all Masters so far and that took me just a couple nights.
NightFall, well, I can't beat it. Plain and simple. I go to load the first town in Vabbi (don't care to remember the name of that wretched place) my terrible PC decides, HEY LOL WUDNT IT B FUNNY 2 CRASH UR COMPYUTR HEER SO U CNT PLAY?!?LOLOL

Yep.
Still working on Factions. It's laughably easy though. I mean, so was Prophecies, but Hell's Precipice stands to be the only mission I can't seem to H/H, even when the H/H have better skillbars than most of the people I would PUG that mission with.

Well, difficulty is all relative. While I too find the PvE campaigns not terribly difficult, I have trouble understanding how someone can zip through it so fast and be able to enjoy it. I mean sure, I could probably sit down and devour a T-bone steak, baked potato, <insert additional side dish here> and a side salad in just a few minutes, but I sure as hell would like it a lot better if I took my time to eat it and savor every bite.
