NM VS HM lockpick hunting.

Wich do you guys prefer. In NM your SUPPOSED to have a higher chance of retaining, but the drops tend to be less then in HM. But in HM you get more for your lockpicks I'm just wondering wich people prefer.

NM: *with my current chance*
51% chance to retain, just over one in two lockpicks should be maintained.
Mostly purples but the ocasional nice/okay gold.
Increases luck more frequently.

HM:
21% chance to retain, just one in give lockpicks should be retained.
Mostly golds and tomes, though the ocasional purple wich can hurt.
Lower increase of luck stat wich in long run would make chances a bit lower.

So basicly NM fewer golds, but you keep more lockpicks and when you get gold it's a jackpot. Where as in HM you lose more lockpicks, get more golds but getting a purple can suck if you broke the lockpick to boot.

Wich do you guys think is better, or do you prefer to treasure hunt?

I prefer nm chest hunting myself, as long as they have keys of 600 gold or more i'd try em

because they add to the chesthunter title are easy to get to and almost anything drops max from those chests anyway.

i find the high rare rate/low retain a bitch in hm tough, and with the current random chance system in gw it's best to go for nm chests imo.

(Gw seems to have a rather odd number of sprees happening, like opening 20 chests and retaining em all with a 53% chance and then not retaining another 20 or so)

Hard Mode. why?

-Elite tomes almost pay the lockpicks back ALONE
-many gold drops
-more gold drops
-if u have no need to identify gold items u can sell the poo for 7vs4k easily wherever.
-i need to trash lockpicks fast for that nice unlucky title

elite tomes + poo sold unid = money 100% back for me (stats on the last 8000 chests with 43% retain rate)
good drops are all cash earned

As for runs yeah I've had weird ones. 9 out ot 10 chests broke the lockpick on NM. And then farming KP in thicket on HM I retained 5 out of 6 lockkpicks, getting all golds and finding a armour in the chest with a superior vigor.

good/bad luck series do happen. on the long run, stats always win.

Where do you mainly run chests?

Hmmmm I've been doing the thicket and I'm not sure on cash back, but with 21% I've gotten 2 superior runes of vigor, 3 elite tomes and 2 regular tomes *counting drops from enemies* so probably close to broken even, though will have to see what if anything the better drops sell for.

NM = To improve Luck
HM = To get better loot

HM = elite tomes

i think hard mode is actually an extra bit of fun even though i usually dont like these things. HM lockpicks hunting would be better IMO. if you chests have better drops is my understanding.
