Are Dervish wanted in DoA?

I know that the Domain of Anguish has but a sliver of life left residing in it, but I was wondering if a Dervish could actually be quite useful in a party going for Mallyx the Unyeilding.

I wanted to know this because I was thinking of makin' a new Dervish [the last one...died], and wondered if they were useful for what might be considered the most outrageous Elite area ever thunk up.

(Outrageous as it may be, I do fancey a Mallyx weapon.)

I was thinking Obsidian Tank or something...but I forgot about Mallyx himself and just screwed that idea.
