I'm not sure if this is the place for GW2 Ideas, but something I would like to see with the leaning more towards a less static world, how about some sort of control of teritories simular to Factions or even FFXI between the different races, or even between differently aligned races. One thing that was interesting with FFXI was the idea that wich ever city killed the most in a given area took control of it and gained benefits, like NPC's that would sell stuff, having more teritories would allow for better services and be updated every Sunday.
Could be done with GW2 using something simular to the signet where you get points for your given race/group might help create desires to farm or just go to lesser used zones as having control can help your side.
Guild Wars 2 thoughts.

As a counterpoint, I find the insistence on forcing players to compete with one another whether they want to or not one of the most annoying facets of Guild Wars.
Of course, if there were multiple server types, it wouldn't be an issue because PvP people could have one and PvE people could have another.

I think GW1 proved rather handily that PvE players aren't fond of having their game experiences (be it access to elite areas or ability to use services in a town) dictated by the ebb and flow of PvP play.

Who said anything about PVP? It's all strictly PVE. Race X kills more enemies in zone A, then Race X gains control, no fighting players, just strictly taking control by having beaten the most.

Kurzicks and Luxons already exist.
