I recently started a Mo/P because, well, I've never seen one anywhere before and wanted to see how it would work. I'm currently lvl 11 and am looking for any advise, comments, or criticism people may have. I also have access to all campaigns.
I currenty use the followign build:
Viscious Attack
Swift Javelin
Spear of Light
Banish
Reversal of Damage
Bathazars Spirit
Orison of Healing
Rebirth

being very honest...not a good build...reason: monks are best steered clear off if you want to use a spear ^^ monks job is really to protect / heal / remove conditions/hexes...or smite the enemy...but really running a mix between a prot' / smite / spear thrower build is not massively suitable if you wish to play through the game!
go either heal or prot IMO > if you want to kill stuff either roll as a smite monk or change profession.....
blunt but honest

A P/Mo would be a lot better if you wanted to use spear and smiting. If you are a monk primary, you would want to make a healing hybrid. Replace 2 or 3 regular monk spells with something like this:
[skill]song of restoration[/skill][skill]signet of synergy[/skill]
If dual monking, [skill]aria of zeal[/skill] might be usefull so your partner can use more prots. Or if your team is full of casters, perhaps. But this is all speculation, I've never had a Mo/P. It may not work so well in practice due to it needing a really high spec to get any payoff without Leadership.
There are a lot of Paragon skills that show promise if you're not afraid to spec a few points. However, spears is not one of them. If I've seen monks with spears and necros with daggers, I know the end of the world is coming.

Bring a real paragon with Save Yourselves and There's nothing to fear. That's about it.
As monk, do what you do best, unless you're going into shards of orr, where you can use the echo Ray spike build to breeze through there.
If you want to chuck spears, go with para primary, or perhaps one of the other more combat oriented skills.
