heya, i played long ago, and i'm just wondering if certian things have changed, and to be remembered of some thigns i flat forgot.

1. is the max lvl still 20? i mean in all the exnapsions, was it ever raised?
2. is there stil only 1 race pickable (human)?
3. when you make a character, is there a way to adjust these aspects? height, hair style, and proportion/body fat/bulk/whatever you want to call it.
4. is all areas stil instanced? (i want them to be, but not sure if it changed or not)

thank you

1. They stuck to the idea of 20 being the max level. It won't change in GW, but it may happen in GW2.
2. Human is the only GW playable race, but 4 heroes are of different races. In GW2, there will be more playable races.
3. There aren't new options for initial character customization and they haven't introduced NPCs to change character appearance.
4. Areas are still instanced.

tbh level means so little in terms of actual gameplay.

To keep it balanced everything still has to remain in the same proportions.

Say you make it max lvl 200. So to keep everything balanced for example you multiply it by 10

Health is increased by x10 but so is dmg. So nothing actually changes. Just takes longer to hit max level.

GW has a great system, as leveling isnt the main point of the game.

Nah, don't bother... GW2 will stick with a balanced kind of thing, it will have a high level cap but it'll probably be the same as GW1 in terms of functionality. If they stick with the GW1's attribute points system then there will probably be a certain level at which we will no longer accumulate anymore attribute points but our "level" will still go up. Infact they can raise the level cap right now but as long as they keep it at 200 points at level 20 then every level after that is meaningless other than gaining a skill point.

Just based on that, I can tell you that GW will never be the game for you... you seem to want that grinding to a high to "leetness" kind of thing.

Don't bother m8, this game is nerfed to hell, wot was once a fun game has been reduced to a grind fest.

Example, the last update LOD was nerfed to a 2 sec recharge, they even changed the hench elite skill because of this, in a nut shell they know the skills no good any more or why else have they changed the henchies skill?

Bottom line they ain't got a friggin clue wot they're doing with Grindwars anymore, and as for no bodies from pets oO

From the fact that he wanted a higher level cap it shows he's the kind of person who actually wants grind, in which case gw doesnt offeer enough grind for him.

Not enough grind? The whole game is grind now. Want max faction title?? HERE GRIND 12 MILLION POINTS@! want max sunspear title? GRIND 50,000 POINTS.

Guild wars is all about grind now. So this game might be to his liking

3. You can change hieght, hairstyles, hair color, skin color, and faces templates...
4. Luckily areas are still all instanced (I agree I enjoy having them that way)...

I think he's hoping GW would turn into "that other MMO". Won't happen. Might get closer with GW2 but will likely stay balanced.

What a random and pointless rant.

This is however mostly true. PvE offers you over 1500 hours of nothing but title grind, per character, if you're really good. May take you a lot longer than that.
