I've been doing this run for a while, it's fairly fun reminds me of griffon farming a bit, drops are mediocre, if you play it right you can get 1 gold per run.

VIDEO
Anyone know a better free video editor than WindowsMovieMaker, preferably one that lets me save in widescreen ratios.

Basic VwK warrior which I fiddled with for this area.

Attributes (excluding runes):
12 Restoration magic
6 Strength
4 Tactics
10 Channeling

Skills
Wary Stance
VwK
Vengeful Weapon
Dolyak Signet
Ancestor's Rage
Bonetti's Defence
Enraging Charge
Sprint

Ancestor's Rage, Vengeful Weapon can both me changed for whatever you like, if you have a high Dwarven rank you may want to stick Light of Deldrimor in, or Alkar's Acid.

The Run
First let me say that the only enemies you are going to be killing are Raptor Nestlings so avoid all other enemies.
Start from Rata Sum (enter HM) and exit into Riven Earth, move forward and to the right (South East), you will find a cave full of raptor nestlings, these are what you're going to be farming.

Alternate enraging charge and sprint to reach the cave and agro all enemies (except the boss).

Try and agro the enemies so they all group up so there is a wall on their left hand side, this stops them running away.

Once you've agro'd the enemies cast wary stance followed by VwK straight after, Wary Stance prevents them using their interrupts as you get VwK up.
Use doylak signet once VwK runs out, followed by Bonetti's.
Vengeful weapon and Ancestor's Rage as appropriate.

Repeat until all the enemies are dead, EXCLUDING the group of Nestlings by the boss, the boss will kill you once you agro his group.
There are basically 2 patrolls, and about 4 random scatters nestlings.

An average run takes about 1 minute.

Of course equipping your Asura favour bonus (equip the title) is damn helfpful.

Feel free to pm me in-game.
Brutal Dracon.

I'm fairly sure I coverd everything, this is basically a copy-paste from my guilds forum but the build has changed a bit since then so things had to be removed.

Nice trick getting them stuck,I did the run on Nm a few times but didn't bother with Hm because of the shatter.

Wary stance OF COURSE

Ive been trying to develop a build similar to what you made except of the ele persuasion.

Mental Block (Cast Before entry)
I'm Unstoppable (Shout before Soldiers Defense)
Soldier's Defense (Use right after Shout and begin casting)
{Varied Skill}
Savannah Heat
Glyph of Sacrifice
Meteor Shower
Bed of Coals

If your wondering how I attempted that, armor was all radient and attunement (except 1 sup vig), and a firewand and artificat from maatu keep (each 15-1) so i have no regen but i had about 91 energy (Includes asura edification)

The main issue i had was grouping and casting, and being interrupted was somewhat difficult but usually it was blocked, but now that I see wary stance this totally changes my build idea, thanks a ton!

Thanks for the replies and nice one on the elemental sword! I've done this run countless times and never got one, but, oh well.

It's highly possible with an elementalist, I don't have one myself but I suggest... gathering all of the raptor nestlings by using dark escape, now use death's charge on a nestling thats alone, giving you time to cast shadow form without getting interupted , then aggro boss, offensive skills you can make up yourself.
Kudos to Ivy from YoHo guild for this, i'm sure she doesn't mind me telling you.

I thought people would start farming Raptors. When I first played EoTN I wanted to see how long it would be, and I think this is the first farm for it from what I've seen.

1 gold a run?

It was 1 gold per run when I first wrote the guide, which was before taking agro of everything and without chanelling magic skills, the run then was about 5minutes+ to do. Like I said this is basically a copy-paste.
Probably more worthwhile as 1 minute run, but try the longer version if you like.

Just agro the two patrolls seperatley, as well as the single nestlings, end up having gone through about 3 or 4 groups when you've finished as compared to the usual 1 group.

Hey, im trying to come up with a build to farm these guys in HW with a warrior. So far i have had a bit of success using W/E with the skills - Dolyak singet, armor of earth, sliver armor, glyph of swiftness. I found it works pretty well once you have alot aggroed, but as they die they are harder too kill. the only problem im having is getting interupted (rarely) and Healing.

Lets try to find a way to farm these HM with a warrior

Edit- Hmm i think i might try putting in stoneflesh aura

Because this build IS for a warrior, with Rt secondary.

I found when making this build and going through all my options that you simply can't stay alive long enough with a W/E, nor do you have enough energy to dish out enough damage, you basically have the duration of stoneflesh aura before you die.

I've been using this build for a while and I've had a reasonable amount of input, you'll have a tough time making a more efficient build with a W primary.

i'm doing this nestling farm with almost the same build, but with the asura skill radiation field - so if they scatter, it doesnt matter - they die from desease :P
The first run gave me 3 golds: 2 greater sage blades, and 1 great conch, but after that, the best i got was assa tome :S

i gues this is the reason someone offered me 50 assa tomes once in Kaineng center.

Got to try this a few times until the drops go bad
