Longest Quests in Guild Wars
thunderai
With all of the talk about how big Elona may be I was thinking that Rally the Princes must be the longest Primary quest in Guild Wars World.
I was doing the quest this morning with my monk and I counted the little red circles durring each stage of the quest. There are four stages to the quest, here are listed below:
Stage 1 : Get to Chantry of Secrets
54 circles
Stage 2: Vehtindy Valley
35 circles
Stage 3: Get to Forum Highlands
32 circles
Stage 4: Get to Kodash
31 circles
in the Elona thread someone said the distance between the center of a circle to the center of the next circle is 100 feet. If that is the case the total distance of this quest is 15,00 feet. Doing some quick math that means on average my toon was moving at 5.75 miles per hour.
My guess for the longest nonprimary quest is Beak of Darkness..
Your ideas?

Meeting With the Emperor.
It's hard too.

Against The Destroyers for longest primary quest.
Silly Warrior
Well Against the Destroyers is like a quest that in order to finish you have to complete other quests. So what would that make it? The one quest to rule them all?
I haven't finished beak of darkness, too lazy :P

The Titan quests, starting with Defend Droknars Forge then moving to Defend North Kryta, Last Day Dawns, Defend Denravi, ending with Titan Source.
Not just one of the longest chain of quests but possible one of the hardest, anyone ever even contemplate these on Hard Mode?????

Villany of Galrath and the Black Moa are pretty long. Against the destoryers is long too, but if you think about it, it is also several quests bundled together. So it and the GWEN primaries are also in a different category.
ValaOfTheFens
Kormir's Crusade seems long as heck when you do it for the first time. The arrow is somewhat deceiving. Torment Claws and Shiro'ken drag it on a long time if you don't have any running skills in your profession.
Villainy is long because the people doing it are usually idiots. I was doing it on my Derv and had a lengthy argument with the other 2 Dervs in my party about why I wasn't fighting any of the enemies. I'd said in LA that I was going to run everyone to ToA so we could have more people in the party and so no one would have to fight. They both had Avatar of Balthazar but not Eternal Aura and so they kept dying from Skeletons and poison and when I made a joke about it one of them started crying(the Dervs were a husband and wife pair) and the other had to leave and console her. The rest of us left them and completed the quest.

Yeah, against the destroyers is probably the longest. This 1 quest was the whole expansion tbh.

I had Villainy of Galrath active when I vanquished Kessex Peak, it makes the area much easier (fewer Verata cultists).
I also vanquished Flame Temple/Dragon's Gullet with Titan Source active, only difficult part was killing the Charr Shaman Lord who insisted on kiting around the three titan bosses.
Finally, I vanquished Mineral Springs with Defend Droknar's Forge active. Far easier than all the Ice Imps and Avicara.
Back on topic, Rally the Princes is quite long (I did it in two halves: to Chantry and from Chantry). Mayhem in the Market is just as bad when you consider distance covered (and the fact that rarely is the entire party Level 20 when you do it). Longest Prophecies primary quest: To Kryta, which was really three quests.

to sorrows furnace.....as there are 5 subquests that need to be completed to finish it, and you cant do any of them together, you must leave and return!

I would consider the following unable to be considered in the total:
Sorrows Furance: It is none core game play, non primary, and it is an expansion
Against the Destoryers: Same reason, it is an expansion and the quest log is just silly.

and i would agree with u for longest, it covers many areas.... GWEN quests r retarded to the fact that there are no missions everything is a quest, i would consider that area / expansion exept from this...
darkknightkain
The GWEN one don't count, that's the entire expansion.
For a real quest the longest one, BY FAR, is probably the "And A Hero Shall Lead Them".
For my old foreign characters, I have to GRIND 2500 of those Stupid Sunspear points just to move on with the quest. For my Paragon/Dervish ok I got there with ~1000 but that means I still have to GRIND another 1500 more
This quest is a total dreaded chore. The worse part this quest is a primary quest and my character cannot continue on with the game until I GRIND all those stupid points on each character.

The Black Moa was pretty long, and a lot of re-zoning.

If you'd rather grind than do quests, that's your business. Though they are some of my favorite quests in Nightfall.

Villainy has always been fun for me, doing it with people who have just arrived in LA. I remember doing it for the first time and being amazed at a warrior with an amazing skill that when you were resurrected, you teleported to him.. I thought it was some kind of high-powered warrior skill. Of course it was just rebirth and I was n00b.
Nonetheless, I like to go back to Kessex peak with other newbies and show them the ropes, its a pretty epic journey if you fight the whole way from LA, i like it that way.

Well some dungeons in Eye of the North take a while especially on hard mode. 2-4 hours for Shards of Orr and Frostmaw's Burrow on hard

Yes, quite a trek.

My vote goes to Cities Of Ascalon Quest..unless you have all the towns unlocked it take quite a while to do.
