When Nightfall was announced, I thought that there will be more sides added to the alliance battle, probably 4 sides, and this would greatly increase the fun in Alliance Battle. Although on the surface, all the people in the Land of Guild Wars are working to get rid of one common villian, however, in their everyday life there are squabbles and they hire people to fight for them and this is where the players comes in.
For Cantha
What we have now are The Kurziks vs The Luxons. Well they are crazy, so their squabbles will be there as usual, but we like to probably add the Am Fah and the Crimson Skull to these battles.
For Elona, we have: (could be more)
The Whisper informat, the Sunspears, The Vabbian, The Istani, The Kournans,
For Tyria we have: (could be more)
The Krytan, the Ascalonian, The Lionguards, The Flaming Sceptor (hahaha), The Shiverpeaks Dwarfs, The Tengu, The Shiverpeaks Centaurs
What do you think? Help make it better maybe? Possible? Maybe for Guildwars 2?
In order to fight for these alliance, you don't actually need to align your guild with them, it all depends on the individual player, who will go to temple of balthazar and talk to an npc that will teleport you to the respective maps. and the battle does not happens in the long run like the Kurziks and the Luxon, those are exception, they hate each other, these alliance battles only happens:
example:
Week 1 Krytan vs The Lionguards
Week 2 The Vabbian vs The Istani
etcetera
At the end of all the rounds, if there are 10 rounds, therefore on week 11, the cycle renews itself, with Krytan vs the Lionguards. Off course you will get points for doing all these fights.
Thank you for feedback
Happy Days.
What do you think of More "Alliances" in AB?

And like the above poster said, it wouldnt make sense, because the vabbi and istan are allied and aren't the Krytan and the Lionguards kind of the same thing? And it would get confusing, especially to see like, a dozen more titles added to the list for all the amount of extra alliances. it would also increase the grinding required to get thru pve, because you'd need so much faction for so many different alliances, and one thing guild wars was made for was to get rid of the grinding (though they're not doing such a hot job as of late, make the alliance titles account-based dammit!)

The idea is thoughtful, but you have listed too many factions to be having one solid AB anymore. I like your opening sentence with the 4-team idea. This way the gameplay is not overly complex and pitted with rivalry.
Excellent suggestion, but whenever I see any type of new ideas about any aspect of the game; I also see the common excuse "wait for GW2"! There are going to be several thousands of players that still play their outstanding original GW accounts, and not everyone will be a part of GW2.
I end with this: This is an inspiriational idea that all could benefit from, Kurzick and Luxon is getting a wee bit old. Lets tell ANet that this and many another idea are worth going for!

O
My thoughts exactly. AB is Factions-only, so it is all it can be, although I always felt it needed continued support in the form of some new maps and possibly new features to keep it going. If the AB idea continued into NF, could possibly have done something with that. I wish it had, myself. I really enjoyed AB, but it became static as well as having the issues with the wait times.
