So im going to come back to guild wars, and didnt real have much experience before I left, but now I am buying a new PC, and figured I would get the Platinum edition, with Prophecies and Eye of The North.
I have Factions as well, but would prefer just Prophecies builds if possible
Anyway, the whole point of this is that I was wondering if anyone could provide me with a few decent Builds for a Warrior, preferably Sword(PvE) and Hammer builds.
Please keep in mind that my main goal is to have fun, and that i've no real objetion to any secondary. In fact, I wouldn't mind have some x/W builds, and am pretty interested in Ranger/War builds if anyone has a couple of those
Sorry this is such a broad request, but i am just looking for some advice from more experienced players
Thanks a lot

Executioner's Strike
Cyclone Axe

IAS - You don't have Flail (from Nightfall), so you'll only have random crap ones available (unless you're good enough to use Frenzy). Try Flurry or Tiger Stance, but they're both meh.
+Utility
"Watch Yourself"
Resurrection Signet
In Proph only builds, sword sucks. Hundred Blades is your only elite and it's basically outdone by Cyclone Axe, a non-elite. Dragon Slash is available in Factions, so I'll give you a good build with that

Resurrection Signet In PvE you dont 'really' need a res signet, With dragon slash builds "Save Yourself!" is better than "Watch Yourself!" If your getting EOTN get Brawling Headbutt and replace it with Standing Slash. Also if your not in a stance (flail/ tigers stance most likely) dont use Standing Slash.
Btw Marty, the axe build is nice... But I think since factions Is an option... you could go with Cleave/ Triple Chop instead of Eviscrate.

If you looking for fun there are tonnes of great builds, some more fun than effective, others are both.
Here is a nice and simple build I've run a few times, its both effective and fun if you use it correctly.
Since you have Factions make a War/Rit with this build.
[skill]Tiger Stance[/skill][skill]Wild Blow[/skill][skill]Standing Slash[/skill][skill]Sever Artery[/skill][skill]Gash[/skill][skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Warmonger's Weapon[/skill]
This will let you deal single target dmg, aoe dmg and shut down any cast very effectively.

Weapon skills dont stack, and the energy cost from switching one for the other every time you switch from AoE damage to Caster interupting could be a problem... The stats on channeling also wouldnt be too great... if its of any conselation... Take an RT hero with a pure channeling/ resto build, pump out some nice support on the Rt's side while assisting you in owning both mobs and casters. Also.. why standing slash? I know you use it when Tiger's is up but the reacharge on that isnt too good either..

Your not supposed to use both weapon skills at the same time...lol
You wont be needing massive points to get good results with either. 10 in channeling will get you nearly 10 seconds of pure interupts vs casters with Warmonger up. Plinter will still deal 40+ aoe for 4 attacks, well worth it since its armor ignoering and you can recast splinter quickly.
At 6 adren as long as your in a stance Standing is a great dmg payoff for its cost. It can ofcourse be replaced with a number of other skills that work fine, I just like it myself.
I know more than a few people that will insist that [skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill] should replace Wild Blow and I would agree, save that I ran this build alot in nightfall vs the Kornan rangers and thier cosntant [skill]Whirling Defense[/skill]
Having a pure rit is always best but heros dont always cast the right spells at the right time, and they often cancel out one weapon spell with another. If you have a free slot for a Hero rit and can control him yourself then it is the best alternative.

Or you could play with people who are competent in Normal Mode while exploring? That's always a case not to take a res.

Tell me why you need more then the 2-4 rez sigs brought by the henchies? If you have more than 1-2 deaths per area, you need to do the following:
1) Learn how to not runn off and over aggro
2) Learn how to hold aggro
3) Get "Save Yourselves!"
4) Stop using Healing Prayers
Assuming of course you're using henchie Monks.

Meh, I still take a Rez wherever I go. Think about it this way: PvE isn't that difficult that you absolutely need that ONE skill when it could be replaced by a Rez. Sh*t happens. Be safe. PvE isn't hard. I don't see how much more damage you're gonna deal with that additional skill.

If you have a free slot for a Hero rit and can control him yourself then it is the best alternative. That would go for the Am Fah in factions too... But I dont think a skill which costs 5 energy that your going to be casting on yourself (a warrior) every 5 seconds is that good... Considering you have 20 energy and 2 pips of regen, a war's energy just isnt substantial. Especially if you insist on having 2 weapon spells and a 5e attack skill.
Btw @ Coloneh, Rez in PvE is just dumb. If it was in RA I'd have to agree with the no exception rule... But when you have 3 heroes with a rez and 4 hench with rez signets (3 hard rez + 4 rez sigs = 7 rezes in total) is it really necesary? Also in NM PvE I dont even put rezzes on my heroes.. Im confident that I wont die every 2-3 minutes.

When I run this type of build my war has 30-35 energy so the cost is not bad and the time between mobs is more than sufficient to recoup it.
Taking a res in pve all depends on the party build, I would say a ranger or paragon should always have one since they are generaly best suited to res both in battle and after. Other classes only need one to balance out the party with about 2-4 hard res/signets. More than that is a waste, but keep in mind since you cant see your hench you might miss them wasting a res sig at a bad time.

If you want a Sword build, you do not want it to be Prophecies-only. Especially if you have access to Factions. Swords are badly handicapped in Prophecies.
[skill]Dragon Slash[/skill][skill]"For Great Justice!"[/skill][skill]Tiger Stance[/skill][skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill]
Use at least 14 Swordsmanship and add utility/secondary class skill as you see fit.

Well that's strange, my hero/henchman teams never seem to complain that I don't bring a rez, and for some reason we've never failed because of it. Maybe, then, its the players who zealously preach that rez skills are compulsory in every single situation that are overstating the problem. Smart play prevents death.

And yes I agree with you 100%, Res in NM pve on any proffesion other than monk is un-necesary and a waste of a skill slot which could be used to further aid your party.
