I am not new, but didn't open the servers either.
I was wondering if there is a place that archived the original skill functions.
Damage, cast times, etc.
I searched forums and googled countless term, but have turned up nothing.
Is this a wild goose chase or does a place exist?

I don't think that you can find the stats for the skills when they were first created. Anyways it won't be very useful since these stats are out of date. You might have some luck for a few skills on both wiki though.

I don't think that's possible and either way it couldn't do you much good.

As far as I know, the only things that would have old skill descriptions are the Prima guides for Prophecies and Factions. Because of constant skill changes *coughNERFcoughIZZY* and updates, they're now long out of date and none were made for Nightfall and Eye of the North.

Whenever I read a skill balance update I always wonder what the buffed/nerfed skill just was, in comparison to what it is now- since I can't memmorize all 1200 of the skills. Something like this would definitely be helpful.

You could check the history page of the wiki and compare the revision to the previous version(s). That's what I do.
