Survivor Title

I decided to attempt obtaining the Survivor title on my ele. I have a few questions before I begin.

1. Before you enter Post-Searing there's an arena fight in which you're facing other players. Will deaths in this count towards my death count?

2. If so, is there any way to avoid this little arena?

3. If I use resign before dying, will my death count towards my death count?

1. Yes, it will count

2. When you log in in that arena, log out and log in, then you will see yourself with hench by rurik

3. It is not suppose to but it has been reported to cause a +1 to the deathometer.

Go to international district, play when it is a 'off' hour, and you will almost always get no opponent. Last 3 times I left Pre I didn't have to fight in the arena area first.

/resign does not count against your title either.
