Hex stacking question

If two different characters cast the same hex on the same target, like say my buddy and I both cast pain inverter on the same boss, does the boss take damage from both of those hexes or just one of them? I know *I* can't stack multiple copies of the same hex on a target, but don't know how it works with different casters.

Thanks.

Just one of them. The same hex can never stack with another copy of that hex, no matter who casts them.

That's what I suspected, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks for the quick answer.

its correct about they dont stack however some skills (Icy Veins, Shatterstone etc) the initial damage will stack but only one copy of the hex will be left on the target.

probably knew that but hey

*kind off* the same question.. if necro X casts BR on a monk lasting 13 sec, and necro Y casts BR right after lasting 7 sec.. which will the monk have?

the two br's will meet at 4:30 pm in cincinnati. /sarcasm

since br is an enchantment, once the second br is cast the duration for it will "take over" the first one. so it would be better to wait until the first br is almost run out before casting the second, to get the full duration of both. hope that made sense.

Have you actually tested that or is that hypothesis with no basis whatsoever? Duration is never taken over, but overlapped. Which means if the 7 second one is cast within 6 seconds of the 13 second one, it does nothing. If it is cast after those 6 seconds, it will change the duration to 7 seconds.
