HI

I have been playing gw for 30 months now, and i must say lately (past 2 months) gw has been nothing but a beautiful chat program. I havent done anyting pve/pvp related in about 2 weeks. All i do is log in, and chat with the guild and alliance. I have run out of stuff to do, and i hate grinding so title farming is out of the question.

Anyone else like this?

Me me! Have two computers on my desk, one for general use (web, irc, aim, work, etc) and one that's *just* for guildwars. Literally all that's on it right now is GW, Opera and photoshop. And a lot of the time I just use GW as a glorified IRC channel with something pretty to look at ^_^ I still get my fair share of playtime in there though too.

I do sometimes, but last time i got stuck on just that i ended up quitting for like 2 months, but now im back in and i mainly play and chat with my alliance while farming/questing/missions/justkillingthingstogetmypoopsandgiggles

I agree, Ventrilo is wonderful for chatting, I use it daily.

But of course I still play the game, and chat in-game. I wouldn't say that GW is a really good chat system. No video or picture sending

if you use it just for chatting with friends, i'd be careful. There have been cases hashed out here where 2 friends having private conversations have received bans for using inappropriate language........despite it being all in fun and between 2 people only, it was quite a fiasco

edit: the moral of the story is that anet scans all chat logs no matter how they are held and autobans people

When my interest in the game is on the wane it makes a very pretty chat program. Nice background music too.

Yes this is just what guildwars needs to be. A way to send pics and video. This way instead of a pm from some random 14 year old horny prick, i can be bothered being asked for pics or a vid of me naked all day... and all this because my character in the game is female...

I used to get that; pretty much anyone who has a female main that uses Guru gets that shit (Avarre a/s/l <3).

You should just actually send them a picture of you naked, I guarantee you'll stop hearing from whoever was praying that you were actually a female anywhere near as attractive as your Monk.

Maplestory was my chat program...never played it stayed at level 20 for 4 months, just chatted with people and walked around smiling.

Anyways with GW, yes and no.
it be a great chat room if They made a 30 room Tihark Orchard mission....everyone I talk to likes that mission.

Also umm...I like making new chars go through campaigns, so I have something to do.

I like the game, but I've also had it for only a year and just recently really started to get into it (like the past month). I have spurts like that where I'll play hardcore for a week or two then quit for like 2 or 3 months. This is my longest "playing spree". been almost 3 weeks!

Personally, if you're gonna just use GW as a glorified chat program, get msn. Not only can you chat, but you can send/receive pics/vidoes etc. and if you want something pretty to look at while you're chatting, you can change the "theme" of your chat box to whatever background/colors you want.

I have 8 female characters and have yet to get anything like that. The only time I had something even close was in Pre-Searing before I changed to European Districts.

WTF the emote guy is fun and easy?

Maybe its because your not cool enough.

When you taunt people in pvp.
Or go into outpost and pve and be a class clown

You learn emotes fast, although I had to get Gamewiki once to learn some emotes I didn't know.

But after that...freaking easy.

Anyways its not just about doing the mission, its what a GW town SHOULD look like...with people in it and fun stuff and crap
