Nightfall/Factions skills on my Proph. Characters?

Hello all, I just wanted to get an idea from the community before I shell out the 25 dollars to do this. I currently have only the Prophesies campaign, and essentially dedicate my time to farming, both UW, FOW, and various zones. My question tho, is in regards to the newly released skill packs for the Nightfall and Factions campaigns. Will I be able to purchase the skills which I unlock for PvP (through buying the skill packs) on my Proph. characters? Also, in order to even buy these skill packs, I have to buy the PvP access kit for my account.... basically, "Will this work?"

IIRC, you have to own the campaign to buy the skill packs and having only Prophecies, you wouldn't be able to use them even if you could learn them because you do not own the campaign. The skill would basically be locked (have a lock icon over it).

Even if you can buy them (by getting the access pack) it won't work, because skills are only available from "local" trainers. To buy a Factions skill, you still have to go to a Factions skill trainer.

Edit: forgot about Tomes - do they work across campaigns or do you have to be in the region you want to learn from?

OP doesn't own the campagns, so tomes won't work.

Tomes won't work, because without owning the campaign those skills would be locked and unusable for the pve character(s).
