Ones like these, Easter, 2 yrs of GW, explorable zone drops are fun and encourage getting out and exploring the game.

Now people have such a feeling of entitlement too them that A.net can't stop doing them if they wanted to. A.net should have listened to me and others on these boards a year and a half ago and space these weekends out instead of doing them all the time.

Not every weekend is going to make everyone happy, but you aren't forced to participate and you don't lose out if you don't. They're introducing something new into the game, however small, that people can enjoy and possibly make a little cash off of or help with their titles. I don't see why there's a problem with that.
Quite honestly I don't know why they even bother anymore; there's always someone bitching about *insert weekend here* and they could be spending their resources on other things.
Do I really care about this weekend? No, not really.
Am I gonna sit here and complain and rain on someone else's parade cause they're interested? Hell no.

Well, last night I finished off all my witch's brew so I could have room for what appears to be - according to the clues in the scribe - spiked cider. Now where I'm going to put the Pumpkin pie (if that indeed is another drop, but I merely speculate based on the icon on The Scribe), I don't know!

My suggestion for a special weekend? "Seamless Weekend". no bonuses, no extra drops, just normal GW the way it was intended to be. wouldn't that be something?
People complain when they get something for nothing. I wonder if they'd still complain if they got nothing for nothing too.

But those things are fun! It's the spirit of the item that counts... I know a 6 yr old that plays gw and he was THRILLED to receive my hundreds of sparklers and vairous other fireworks... I hope they don't change the uselessness of some of their "junk".

I've vowed that my li'l Ranger won't go into AA too quickly (Ale-holics Anonymous) so she's regulated to holidays only
Besides - right now I'm taking a small break on beating all the games with her (two down two to go), so this is perfect for me and mine for the busy holiday.
Also gives me a reason to totally avoid friday, saturday, sunday and going out in the "Wild" known as "Everything on SALE...Everywhere!"
Those people scare me.

Well, I haven't seen anything special drop for me yet, but I saw someone trying to sell pumpkin cookies and candy apples in Ascalon. I know candy apples was at halloween but I don't recall seeing pumpkin cookies before.
