Stone Summit Emblems

I checked wiki and didn't see anything unique about the collectors. I keep seeing people asking where these drop. Why do they care?

stone summit emblems, i believe, are farmed by many people, as they drop in the northern shiverpeaks, and there is a collecter that offers max weapons for 5 summit emblems in the southern shiverpeaks. therefore, they are easy to get and can be used to get 125g or a collecter item.

Badges, not emblems. Emblems are only in GWEN.

ah. my bad, i dont play in GWEN often. not sure why they would be so popular, unless they have become the troll tusks of EoTN, buying them for cheap and going to the collector.

That's what I thought since NF started with Margonite Masks, Heket Tongues, and such. All collector items need 5 20g emblems... 100g to merch. No profit.

They and other drops are collectable for festivals.
So far the repeated festivals have had collectors asking for the same thing, some people farm them extensivly then hand them in at festival time or sell at higher prices during same.

o.O Where do they turn them in? During what events?

People are still mixing Emblems and Badges. Badges are a general Tyrian commodity, have existed since Prophecies and are collected for festival perks. Emblems are exclusive to GW:EN and thus aren't related to festivals. Unlike Badges, they are also high end collectables so there's no money to be made in trading them for collector equipment.

I know that I needed 35 Stone Summit Emblems for a full set (7) of Aureate Aegises with +30 HP and a free inscription slot, somebody else may have spotted useful stuff elsewhere.

I also happen to know that a great place for farming Emblems is Fronis Irontoe's Lair in Hard Mode (in normal mode you'll only get Badges). A single run yielded 10 Emblems (and you get other decent loot as well).

Similar to tmakinen, I collect Stone Summit Emblems for the Aureate Aegis from Marduc Snakeslayer in Varajar Fells. I'm not one to blow a heap of money for my Heroes, so 5 SSE is nothing really. I get a Req9 with +30 and Inscription

That's not true. I can't access HM in EotN yet, and I farmed my emblems from Fronis' lair.
