I might see people in-game from Guru, but that would require me actually looking at peoples in-game names.

Yep, this evening I mentioned what one guy said he did in the Mini Pig Woes thread about getting a bone dragon out of the pig rush. A guy in the district mentioned he had done that as well. Asked him if he was here on guru and after jumping over to see the ign on the account confirmed it was him. Both found it quite amusing.
