what? the system itself is something almost every MMO in history has had. Anet made a version of something they should have had from the start, and reporting people who deserve it isn't some sort of weakness or "crying". i've reported about 15 times since the system came out, and 3/4 of them were for racist in RA/AB saying some messed up stuff. the other ones were either leechers in RA/AB, or griefers. (twice a whole guild team of griefers that used sac necros to kill themselves over and over in AB, giving us no chance. i wasn't the only one to report them).

most cases, i KNOW im not the only person reporting these people, because other people say they do, or are going to. if they dont, so what. these people using the N word, or talking down on other races/religions ect, need to be banned. call me a cry baby, like i care what you say, all you do is advocate it anyhow. most of you come on this forum just to troll, so what's the difference.

THREAD HIJACK:

If 'Dishonorable' is a hex that affects all your characters across your account and has no ill effects related to combat, could it not be used to player advantage in PvE?

For example, some insignias/skills/weapon mods take advantage of the player being hexed. If you 'achieved' dishonorable status with a PvP character, and went off to play some PvE, would the hex actually fuel these 'while hexed' bonuses, without any actual disadvantage from the hex itself?

Sorry if it's been discussed already, 'twas just a thought I had today.

i dont think so Kikuta. it goes away outside of RA/TA/AB. but tbh, i'd have to actually look to give you a definite answer.

I think that perhaps you have left the game too many times/got disconnected and could not reconnect etc. I'm not saying it is your fault, but this has not happened to me, or anyone that i know...so the conclusion ive come down to is you being the only one reporting leechers. its not your fault, many people dont bother reporting (i don't either, i don't want any reports backfiring on me), hence my advice to you is to stop reporting, wait out the 60 minutes and then enjoy the game . if they keep dishonouring you, then my sympathy goes out to you, good luck

i was ab'ing yesterday and was having serious lag issues. i got kicked in the middle of the fight on my necro and couldn't reconnect, switched to my mes and same thing happened. when i logged back onto my mes, i had dishonorable
apparently this will happen whether you intentionally leave or if you get an err=7. they give you 5 dishonor points each.
i thought this was total bull since the game KNOWS i got booted, but i pouted for the 10 minutes and went back in no problem. still a load of poop.

Hey did anyone ever think that maybe he is doing something wrong, but just not on purpose? Maybe whatever it is, is not malicious, but its being viewed as such - yeah no clue here what I am talking about since I avoid RA and places like it as if it were a plague (and it is).

Anyways the report system is semi flawed but I dont think that it should be done away with. Instead they should just change the status of what is happening /leaver /leecher /language /scammer
It would change the dynamic of the /report function to the point where they could check into the areas that are more vital - say 3 of 4 say /leaver well then there ya go! No need to look into it or anything.
But then you have the one person who does /leaver a few times a day, it would be easier to track.

Anyways its just a thought. Don't throw it out because it has a glitch but rather fix the problem.

yeah, i found out what it is. apparently, according to an email from Anet, i leave matches too soon after we win or lose. i usually hit M right as the last person dies, then the zone, and when the screen is grey and ask if i want to leave, i must leave right before the timer box comes up.


well that was anti-climactic, and even worse, a stupid thing i was doing. kinda annoying lol. i was getting it a lot from priest matches, where i knew we couldnt win, and in AB after the winner came up, i'd just leave.


also, i apparently got reported for someone for botting... no clue why.. but ok lol.

He was doing something wrong, but he wasn't lying as you suggested, he just didn't quite understand.
If he understood what was causing his dishonorable status, do you think he would have wasted all this time making a thread and contacting Anet? No.
