Hard Apple Cider & Slice of Pumpkin Pie farmable?
El Sabio
Since the event starts today I m wondering if theres a good/best way to get lots of these things ^^ 3 weeks ago i would have said the turais procession were the best place to get those things, but anet had a lot freetime so they made something just for fun, you guys know the story. where is now the best place to kill many monster in a short amount of time, im counting on you guys ^^

Yes anywhere is a good place to farm them. They drop from everything. If you are going after just those then pick a low lvl area with tons of enemies and hack away over and over.
Ken34
they seem to drop more frequent in hard mode, maybe it was random, who knows, but i come away with 10 of each per run outside sunspear great hall.

Such as the end of the Northern Wall mission in NM (you get Charr Carvings there as well) or the beginning of Nolani Academy mission.
One of the first Nf missions has lots of mobs coming at you at various stages, IIRC, so you can probaly get lots of them there as well.

"A Show of Force" go to the area with some H/H in HM.
Flag them away, open all the shrines, then go in with [skill]Shadow Form[/skill][skill]Sliver Armor[/skill][wiki]Air of Superiority[/wiki], sit back, and laugh.
When not enough of them are dying to keep recharging your skills just die, let your H/H die, respawn, get in wurms and kill them, and pick up loot.

But what about those mandragors then, they sometimes spawn right where i use Shadow of Haste...so i usually bring 1 hero, so we can take those out :P

Lure them back to Alem (Rit boss), and die there. They will stay there for the rest of the run ;D.

Ahhh great idea, thanx
Great Scoot
do they drop better if you are in HM or not?
ejp
Event items are not loot scaled so normal mode works better imo

Faster attack rate = more damage from Sliver Armor = faster kills.
Plus regular drops are better, chance for ele swords and stuff as well as upgrades.
And Jebus I do it with H/H so I can pick up some SS and LB points on the way.

And Jebus I do it with H/H so I can pick up some SS and LB points on the way. ejp wasn't necesarily talking about the Show of Force farm. This weekend I'll probably do low level farming in NM as it's more kills quicker for the collectibles and special items.
Gate of Kryta smiting run, Bergen smiting run or grawls in ascalon are probably gonna be quite busy this weekend. As these areas/monsters also drop collectibles that will probably be used over wintersday.

Definately drop more in HM ... 11 Cider and 7 Pumpkin on a Varajar fells run ... Crap for golds :-(
Mortis
I reccomend the raptor nestling farm. Drops a fair few ciders and pies, and it's a quick run.

They drop a LOT in underworld. I did a couple terra tank runs in there earlier and there was at least 1 item dropping from each group I killed. I'm sure a full group of 8 would be able to get a ton from there.
sickle of carnage
Raptor farming. 1 min runs, 4 cider 4 pie per run.
TheGuildWarsPenguin
Farming destroyers in Glint's challenge gave me 5 pies and 6 ciders in one run.

Agreed, as sad as it is. Once one foe dropped one white, sider and pie. Yea, normal foe.
royal mercenary
just go snowmen farming
Silly Warrior
It doesn't matter where you go to get Hard Apple Cider or Slice of Pumpkin Pie, drop rates for these items are the same in both normal mode and hard mode.
So pretty much, anywhere a bunch of stuff dies fast is fair game, like Snowmen farming.

Drop rate is same for all areas, unless for some reason Anet is making them drop more in UW, I doubt it.
Moriean
The droprate isn't the same in every area, I farmed Raptor Nestling, and I have a droprate of 12% in NM, and 18% in HM. In Pre-searing I have a droprate that's below 5%, so droprate isn't the same in HM/NM and differs from place to place (if you ask me).
Nakata
Raptors in NM is the best way !
a run usualy takes 1 min to get 8 pies , 8 cidar , or 4 of each items

not cause you killed 20monsters in each area you think there are different drop rates?
It takes longer then 10minutes to make a percentage as these...
