Only one mini pet per birthday

Wasn't entirely sure what to name this thread, but here's what I'm thinking:

A friend who hadn't been on in a while got online today and had 4 birthday presents waiting for him. He got 2 of the same one (necrid horseman) and a Koss as well as a jungle troll (which he'd gotten a long time ago on another character).

My suggestion? Make it so that if your account receives one mini pet for a birthday, don't let it get it again. I realize some people may say no, then you'd have a better chance at getting a gold or green one. But think of it this way - there are more mini pets than people could possibly have characters, so it should still balance out. If someone bought a mini pet and then got one, it wouldn't affect it. What does everyone else think?

hmmm....kinda,or add onto the gold/purple/green rate with consecutive minipets and reset it when you get a gold/green
i have 13 pve chars and 9 have reached their birthdays(first)....ALL were white minipets and i got about 3 jungle trolls

i got 5 Jade Armor...very annoying...
but i just sold extras or traded for ones i didnt have(and wanted)
..not that big a deal really.

It should stay the way it is... thats your reward for sticking with the same characters. They get a random present, if you go putting limits on what that character can get it isn't random any more.. =P What if someone gets a jade armor and they would actually like to have a 2nd one?

There can be 26 possible characters. But there are only 12 miniatures per character.

It would be nice to have chances reworked so 26 characters could get always all of them, but not 12.

I've gotten 2 Whiptail devourers and 2 Hydras out of 9 characters. The rest were not duplicates. Frankly, I don't care about the Hydra, but the Whiptail Devourer was a big letdown.

I'm partially for the idea of making it so that you can only get 1 of the same mini, since it avoids repeats of pets that someone might not like. However, there are some pets that I really wouldn't mind getting multiples of.

Possibly make it so that you can only get 1 of each white miniature, until you get all 8, then reset.

3 successive whiptails, out of 9. At least make it less possible to get the same pet multiple times.

If you want a minipet and you 1 year old the most time u get an Whiptail Devourer i've got them 2 and 1 jungle troll but the chance if you get Mini Vizu or something is reallly really little!

3 Aatxes can't complain (just because they were worth something), Anyways a present is a present its something to be a surprise even if you don't like it, it's just the way it is

I have to admit IF the original intent would have happened with minis Duplicates would have been ok. But since NO ONE TRADED a mini for a non duplicate, Instead selling them for crazy gold prices if not real money... I do kinda wish a Flag list on the account was triggered to assure that new B-day presents both 1 year and 2 year, and Maybe for upcoming 3rd year, would not duplicate on your account. At the very least if your account has a mini dedicated in the HoM, you should not end up with another one on that same account if you open a new present.

I also Feel that Unopened presents Should Not be allowed to be sold. To prevent this system being abused. Just my opinion... I know others feel its their Dwyana given right to demand unreasonable amounts of game money for things attained with zero effort.

For the record of the 14 minis I got, only 3 were purples or gold from presents. the rest were white and not duplicated, Luckily... The other gold and green minis I attained were either from CE editions, magazines, or events.
