The rainbow phoenix

Okay before I post my idea, I have a question - if you go with someone with the title People Know Me into their Hall of Monuments (if they're the party leader), does the rainbow phoenix still spawn and can you cap it?

Now here is my idea:
I've seen lots of rainbow phoenixes, so obviously some people have at least 10 maxed titles. But my idea is, make the rainbow phoenix like other "elite" pets. For instance, the black widow is in the Underworld, the imperial phoenix is at the end of Factions, and the black moa is in the Echovald forest. How about making the rainbow phoenix in an elite area, like Slayer's Exile? That way you don't have to max 10 titles just for it to spawn. What does everyone else think?

Only if theres 1 char in hall ( so no H/H or other Humans)

don't really like that idea, because 1) i don't really do ELite areas as i prefere normal play 2) i rather get a pet for maxing out titles then for doing a elite dungon, the pheonix are pretty common as there not that hard to obtain but this would take a while.

btw i dont have rank2 KoaBD yet, so its not about keeping a stick to others.

If it was added to Slaver's Exile then people would start charging for runs to let people cap it.

It's fine how it is, it just takes a little longer to get then normal pets.

Well it wouldn't have to be an elite area, that was just a thought. hehe Uh...*thinks* How about an explorable area with lots of monsters? If there is one like that. Like huge mobs or something. hehe And darn on the no H/H thing.

the rainbow pheonix is a little bonus for people who are into maxing titles, and to be fair 10 maxed titles is really not that hard to get if you really want the pet
3 protectors
4 skill hunters
SS+LB+Delver and you got yourself a pheonix
not hard titles to get just abit time consuming

Getting maxed titles takes way more effort then completing slavers exile.

And besides, it takes a lot of money and time and effort to get a lot of those titles maxed, probably 50x more effort than completing factions, going to the forest, or doing UW.

look at how common the other pets are? Raindow should be the "hard to get one". Spider and normal pheionix are really easy to get...

How is the black moa in any way an elite pet, its easier to get than a wolf and you dont even need to level it, plus every 2 in 1 ranger has it :/

Well I meant it's elite because it shows up in the Hall of Monuments as an actual statue instead of Animal Companion.

And personally I don't care about the phoenix, I have to have a wolf. hehe I just thought it might be easier for everyone as a suggestion.

Heck no. All people R2 and more of max title track would be really pissed off. Getting 10 maxed titles isn't easy and it takes a lot of time! Why should the pet spawn for anyone in some elite area? Go cap the next best thing and be happy about it.

elite areas are fun if you can play with a team build to suit the area.. they're harder than the maxed titles which i'm on 9 so far (4 skill- -3 prot ss and lb) and to say it was easy, yes it was, just takes a lot of time, patience and money.

There is a Vanq title, people would have to kill everything there anyways, everyone in the game could cap it then. Its a special pet for people who have taken the time to get 10 maxed titles to get a "better then the other pets" pet.

I don't like the 'change behavior' way.

The phoenix is cool because neither money nor trivial effort will get it for you; it means something.

Anet has been letting up on PvE some and making things a lil more easily obtainable. The RB Phoenix is one of the few things you really have to work to get now.

i think most rangers get those 10 max titles for the rainbow pheonix...
but since there's a reward for the rangers why dont warriors get like a special sword or something, or mesmers get a special mask...

You're new to the game aren't you? It's a misconception to think we got PMK just for the Rainbow Phoenix. Many of us got PKM long before there was a RP. I have PKM, and I don't even want the RP.

And any class can get a pet just by using the ranger secondary long enough to tame one. The RPs aren't just for rangers.

The rainbow phoenix was meant as a bonus to someone who has at least 10 titles maxed. It's a privilege, not a right, for people to have them. It's just like saying I want the r5 koabd beam of light in my HoM despite only having 2 titles maxed out. Just a little added bonus for people who have high numbers of maxed titles.

Because everyone would have it, and it'd get annoying as hell.
