The afflicted, farmable or not?

Hey guys, i was wondering is there a way to farm the afflicted creatures for plagueborn items, and where is the best place to do that.

I think that 600/smiter would know be able to farm them almost anywhere in cantha, but i was thinking of soloing them.

If anyone has an idea or build for this task, please post it or pm me with it.

Maybe a perma Obsidian Flesh Tank?

gg 600/smite, gg obs flesh. Since the mobs are balanced, most afflicted groups have necros. The only thing I can see doing this is E/A shadow form nuker, but the afflicted don't really come close to you when you aggro them (other then the melee). Even if E/A worked, soul explosion would most likely kill you.

Infinite SF Assassin Works.. you gotta kill em one by one, only groups with no OoA in.. drops suck aswell.

I once farmed some outside Kaineng with A/Me ToPK build. Killed a few, then Ritualist popped up.

possibly farmable with the warrior Vwk build with a ranger hero with serpents quickness and qz, gonna try it out

Note that SF cannot be stripped by OoA since no attack touches you. Theorically.

Yeah, but Soul Explosion deals damage through SF. Afflicted are probably the most difficult monsters to farm...

I imagine you could trap them innefficently.

I used to farm the Necromancer and Mesmer Constructs (who drop the Kaolin staves) with E/A or A/E. They lie in amongst lots of Afflicted so the afflicted mobs would die from the remainder of Sliver Armor. After killing the boss, you recieve Morale Boost which recharges all of your skills allowing you to re-cast Shadow Form and Sliver Armor and go on a killing spree.

Afflicted Soul Explosion does hurt but Shadow Refuge counters it to a great degree.

I'm sure they are able to be farmed. As far as being profitable...no idea.

I'm not sure why you would want plagueborn weapons, they r tah uglizes.

a guildie an I farmed them 600/smite but the smite brought greater Conflag for OoA it worked fine. 600 just needs one of the visages(stand near the rits) and mantra of resolve

you could always MM it. I would bring a hero warrior or something to speed it up though. bone minions are good fodder for death nova, and with jagged bones you wont run out of them to quickly.

just take something like strone striker with 600/smite,, and youll be fine..

I tried a 600/smiter with my bro yesterday.
It was ok, but i got hit with a broad head arrow....you know the rest.
maybe with some modifications u could make some money of these guys.

well i guess you could solo it using the A/W solo urgoz build
