MAX TITLE Emotes - How about it?
Hamfast
I don't PvP, but the PvPers have something I would love to see for PvEers... the purty /fame or /rank emotes that make a ghostly animal appear.
How about a /TITLE emote that does something similar if you max out a title track?
- Max DRUNKARD Title could display a mug of ale.
- Max PROTECTOR Title could show an apparition of the Lich/Shiro/Abaddon.
- Max TREASURE HUNTER Title could show an overflowing treasure chest.
- Max LUCKY could be a Horseshoe and/or Four-Leaf Clover.
Etc, etc, etc... I'm sure they can come up with some good stuff. (They don't all have to be GOLD glowing lights either... different colors for different maxed Title tracks would add variety.)
I wouldn't penalize the guys who acquire "stacking" Titles though. The "Kind of a Big Deal" Title Track should have Emotes for every step of the way, without having to max out all 30 titles (God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals) before seeing anything.
Obviously this is just another way to "brag" about your character. But it could make titles more interesting and give us something to shoot for while waiting on GW2.

That's what the Hall of Monuments is for, now.

Oh yeah, the /fame emote is for something PVP related, why not something for PVE max titles? I'd like that.

since titles are easy to get anyway....
only pvp titles are deserving of emotes and they dont even deserve it.

/notsigned been asked so many times before and will never happen. If you want an emote go to HA win with lameway 180 times then type /emote and GG

If pvp'ers can have such an emotes, why pve'ers can't?

You think that getting Drunkard need no effort? Or for example Legendary Guardian? Or Legendary Cartographer?
Then why don't anyone make this titles quickly, maybe because they don't "take at least some skill and effort"? ^_^

If they did emotes, I think it should only be for the KoaBD title track, and nothing else.
However, it just doesn't seem like a reasonable idea. Some could argue that those playing in the Heroes' Ascent, aren't good either. They just got to where they are through being a PUG, or only playing a RaO.

/sign, getting sick of the pvp elitist additude.
But only for r4+, up to rank 3 its really easy.

Wtf are you trying to say? I could use a lame ass build in HA, win only the first round a lot of times, and get some stupid deer emote. But if I go around spending valuable time Vanquishing, I have no skill at all?
You sir are an idiot.

On topic - Agreed, I think it's harder to vanquish, get drunkard/sweet tooth, etc. than it is to win yet another PVP battle. And so begins another contest between PVE and PVP.

yes, Guru needs moar PvP vs PvE threads!!1

Yuck, no. Emotes shouldn't have been made in the first place.
thedeadlyassassin
as for the topic /signed and /notsigned.
I think an emote that's godly should be able to be used if you have the maxed title you can get of maxed titles. Because most people don't go to other people's HoM, and most people don't look at people's name, therefore not seeing a title.

For Vanquisher, Guardian, Cartography, and (maybe) Survivor and Skill Hunter titles, sure.
For anything else, no way.

Drunkard doesn't take skill. Unless double clicking every 1 minute is considered an achievement these days. Same for sweet tooth and the gold ID.
Skill hunter is somewhat long. But that's about all about it. Zone, cap, zone cap. With heroes, it's really not a big deal.
Treasure hunter belongs in probably the more absurd title category - I don't consider running 10,000 chests a sane behavior. 9/10 psychologists would probably agree.
Survivor is another farming title. Doesn't it take 8 hours or so on minotaurs?
Anything that can be more effectively botted than played is not worthy a title. All with exception of quoted ones can be botted much more effectively than by playing the game.
If someone comes up with an effective rank farm bot, that title will be irrelevant as well. This is the main difference between majority of titles.

if i wanted to hear some Elitist jerks b*tch and moan about how somthing sucks all the time i'd go PvP.
No good can come form this as they'd be KoaBD R2+ Teams For Urgoz etc.
pve is supposed to be friendly and kind imo,(can argue about the bad side but in gneral its good) and a rank system would make it more grind based.

How about...you learn how to use the search function.

The /rank emote is a way to draw pve'ers to PvP, so..

I think it would be good if it was an actual emote of some kind, not the cheer emote with some kind of flashy apperation like the PvP emote is.

That would just be show-off emotes and that would be annoying as hell, even though I could fire off a number of them myself. I never would.
Now /panic I'd use all the time:
Treya joins random PUG. Treya says hi. Random PUG says hi. Treya asks for players to ping builds. Treya panics.

i think the little thing on your name is good enough without pushing it in someones face, such as the PvP masters of the game love to, just go around shouting i'm a Legendary Survivor and dropping Snowmen from the heavens you'd get the same effect, this is a bad idea in my oppion.
DarkGanni
Can we close this already? First thing it's been discussed over and over for more emotes and everytime it kept failing.

PvE requires next to no skill and a bit of time. That's all.
PvP, though, requires intelligence, wit, reflexed, knowledge, cooperation, and tactics. PvP deserves /rank. PvE does not.

Rank emotes are just about the only shinies pvp players get. PvE has lots of other flashy goodies.

pve titles are to linked together
+ not all pvp titles have emotes and hell right now HA is a big fat META arena basically whoever runs the best meta anyways you dont see champs having emotes which is basically what needs a emote
the game is called "Guild Wars" after all but they give an emote to hero... which i find a bit stupid but w.e

Correct it now has the HoM, but people can't see if just glancing at you, and they also have the stupid rainbow phenix, which still can't be seen unless ur /r and are outside a outpost.
Give Pve a new shiny, my it be a emote, or armor, or a aura, just something.
