omg, Guild Wars was just on TV

if only anet wasnt so poor then they could afford some nice commercials they should at least open up an item mall or something.

It would appear that Anet/NCSoft did a little something something around one of the Shrines of the Norn's involving the three of them.
That commercial was funny, but most of you don't think so because we know how those characters are.

I am sorry, I was just looking for my lost kitty on Guru.... Here Kitty! See?

Ok, Here is the deal. We can talk about the commercial for gamestop, but we will not turn this into a debate about which MMO is better. The mere fact your at a Guild Wars forum preclude your input from such a conversation on this topic. Want to debate the merits of GW vs. WoW go to a forum thread for that task. Intermixing it into a perfectly valid thread which required no mention of WoW is only trolling. As a Mod I find that in pure bad taste.

the only way that advert could have been funnier is if they got the voice actor to do Vekk again for it

I actually *swear* I saw a Nightfall commercial of some sort back when it came out, don't take my word for it.. I just swear I recall that, cause I remember getting all ''Oh wow, Guild Wars on TV!" about it.
blue.rellik
Just seeing Vekk dance alone made that ad good

I too thought it was amusing - but then I've always found the kinda corny/nerdy stuff like that highly amusing anyway.
And I also thought it would have been WAY better had Vekk's real voice actor done that part. Pinky and the Brain has always been one of my favorite shows, like much of the older Looney Tunes stuff quite watchable as an adult.

I watched it for several times and think it is a really funny commercial. I dont think that the WoW commercial are better in any way.

That was pretty awesome. Makes me want to go to my local Gamestop and laugh at their failure of making commercials.

They were out in force when I got to work this morning... but they and management were supposed to have gone back to the table today (both sides feeling guilty about all the jobs being lost and the huge dent this is making in the local economy?)... so hopefully there will be resolution soon.
To those of you screaming 'crappy commerical', please do show us something better if you're such experts at producing advertising. It wasn't that bad.

The WoW Commericals, however, have better acting and better writing because Blizzard has deeper pockets. (and have better satirical writing skills than ArenaNet) |
I suspect Gamespot simply licensed a few rights from GW. And as to your comment that Gamespot licensed rights for GW because others like Halo are too expensive... just one of the many other Gamestop commercials. And here's several more Gamespot commercials for your viewing pleasure. It looks like GW is in good company.
Zinger... sometimes you let your emotions get in the way of thinking, and this is one of those times.

Well i thought it was kinda cute. I want to see a charr wearing a sweater!

I've seen it a few times, it's for Gamestop. Has Ogden & Pyre complaining about getting crappy Xmas presents then vekk runs up dancing that he got a game & system for xmas, it's pretty funny.
