A change I'd like to see for Entangling Asp

I'd like to see this become a touch skill with 1/4 sec cast time, and a damage componant to compensate for the loss of range (perhaps ~100 at 16 deadly arts).
Yes this would completely nerf the current DD spamming builds, and yes this would be a good thing. The skill required for monks to stay alive is completly asymetric with the 1234 nature of this build.

DD spam is worse then sp sins. Since the nerf DD spammers have appeared everywhere. I applaud all the other sins coming up with other builds then this crap.

I say hell no. The skill is not overpowered, and any more nerfs to sins, I won't buy GW2. Anet always picks on sins, because lil noobs think they are OP and don't figure out how to kill a sin.

I'm sure in GvG the DD spamming sins are a non-issue, however they're a plague in TA or RA. If the chain only did damage with no shutdown it would be fine, if it only did shutdown with no damage it would also be fine - however together it's just too powerful IMO.

Make Asp 5 energy, reduce recharge, take away the knock down. Fixed. DA spikers are overpowered because of all the knock downs, without that they are more than beatable.

Hmm, how about actually making it into an offhand? That way it can be chained with useful dagger attacks in a chain.
There's one other thing that it does in the Assassacaster and that is help out slightly with preventing kiting/interrupting selfheals due to its full radar range. Making it halfrange would lend a little more kitability against the standard DP chain and ensure that it could be used as utility in a DM/DA hybrid build using Deadly Haste.

Do Warriors or Ele's have knockdown skills that have a 2 second cast time? The point of a knockdown is to temporarily disable your opponent. Knockdown is currently the most effective way of shutting a healer down asides from killing them. The problem is Sqube, if they nerf DP, they won't be buffing other skills. I know that's what you want, but A-net has never, and will never actually nerf a skill and buff another. That would just be too nice and too balanced, y'know?

Its no overpowered. Monks just run mo/w bring Balanced Stance and SoA right when he uses dancing daggers. The Spike it ruined. Simple and easy.

You played a DA Sin in PvE? They didn't really nerf any skills that were used commonly in PvE (besides MAYBE Black Lotus Strike in Assassin's Promise builds).
