I Need a E/Mo Nuker Build for Prophecies Only!
Cruncher Deathblade
Ok, I only have prophecies and my build has worked pretty well in the past, but I want to try to get it to be as fine tuned as possible. If you could give me some nice builds for UW and PvE I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
This is my build: Flare, Elemental Attunement, Rodgort's Incantation, Mark of Rodgort, Meteor Storm, Fire Storm, Healing Breeze, and Restore Life.
Template Code: OgNDoLftGCjU9yXarYgUnA
*****I've seen some threads like this but they haven't answered my question so I made my own thread.

That works, but I am a E/Mo. I dont think I can Arcane Echo. Can I?
Vexed
No, you can't, and you don't really need to. Toss in another utility like Eruption or Aegis or Glyph of Lesser Energy if the spamminess gets you in energy trouble.
Marverick
Since you have Elemental Attunement I assume you have gone past the Crystal Desert already? In that case you can change secondaries...
GoLE is unecessary with Dual attunements, you can bring Aegis but I find 2 Monks chaining it is enough, Ward Against Melee is enough melee protection.

not very offensive not extraordinarily defensive either. slow spells are easily interruptible and at 25 energy for rodgorts even with dual attunements its just too expensive.
i would be more tempted to go:
[skill]elemental attunement[/skill]
[skill]fire attunement[/skill] or [skill]orison of healing[/skill]
[skill]aura of restoration[/skill]
[skill]glyph of Concentration[/skill] or [skill]ward against melee[/skill]
[skill]fireball[/skill]
[skill]rodgort's invocation[/skill]
[skill]inferno[/skill]
[skill]resurrection signet[/skill]

Here's a few things I've been using pretty much since Prophecies:
Template: "Good Old Fire Ele" (OgNDoMz/E9SX+CY0CXkSmA)
Skills: Fireball, TROGDOR's Invocation, Mark of TROGDOR, Meteor Shower, Aura of Restoration, Fire Attunement, Elemental Attunement, Rebirth
Tactics: Dual attunement lets you spam everything, which is perfect for Invocation. Take full advantage of Mark by attacking with a fire weapon (to set things on fire when spells are recharging) and by using it right after Meteor Shower (so the mob is knocked down AND set on fire, because you'll have three more seconds - until the next KD - to get another AoE spell off on them). Rebirth is the only resurrection skill worth having in PvE, where positioning is everything and time is never of the essence.
Template: "Blindbot Wins!" (OgNDgMz/Imj3AOhN3EOkiMB)
Skills: Lightning Javelin, Lightning Stirke, Enervating Charge, Lightning Hammer (you can replace this with Lightning Orb), Blinding Flash, Air Attunement, Elemental Attunement, Rebirth.
Tactics: Again, dual attunement lets you spam things, which is precisely what you should be doing. Using Blinding Flash as soon as it recharges will let you keep two physical attackers useless, and Lightning Javelin and Enervating Charge will help with the same while also doing damage. Try this against Aatxes, or change one damage skill to Aura of Restoration and Rebirth to Resurrection Signet and take it to Random Arenas for some blinding-good fun
EDIT: For UW, I used to set my ele up as a 55 on smite runs (with Glyph of Concentration and Obsidian Flesh), but I used Spirit Bond together with Healing Breeze for an added layer of security, which you won't be able to do without access to Factions skills. Still, you could farm things with a standard 55 setup (Shield of Judgment and Zealot's Fire for the kill) pretty effectively, just not in UW.

This is good, but can you guys think of anymore? I want to get as many options as possible.

Maverick's build is the strongest nuker available for Prophecies-only.
As you're E/Mo, though...
Either go Glyph of Sacrifice/Restore Life over Echo and Res Sig...
Or merely drop Echo for another damage spell; Incendiary Bonds and Searing Heat are the only almost-worthwhile choices.

I mean it doesn't see like that would do as much damage as some of the other builds though?

Elemental Attunement. Great! In Prophecies, there aren't many great Elementalist elites open to you, so you managed to pick one of the better ones.
Rodgort's Invocation and Mark of Rodgort are both decent choices.
Meteor Shower...meh. I've never liked it that much...when you've used it, it's out of action for a whole minute.
Firestorm...again, meh. Monsters run out of AoEs too readily.
Healing Breeze...YUCK!
Restore Life...a res can sometimes be handy.
Fireball is a very nice skill. It hits enemies in an area and does a lot more damage than Flare. Consider using Immolate also, instead of Meteor Shower or Firestorm.
How's your energy holding out? I would advise using Dual Attunements for the spamming of Rodgort's Invocation, Fireball and Immolate. Dual Attunements give you some great energy management. Given prophecies-only skills, I might consider using a build such as:
[skill]Elemental Attunement[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Ward Against Melee[/skill][skill]Immolate[/skill][skill]Fireball[/skill][skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill]+ Resurrection Skill + Optional slot.
Attributes something like:
Fire Magic: 12 + Headpiece + minor/major/sup Rune
Earth Magic: 9 + 1
Energy Storage: 9 + 1
Personally I would do-away with the "self heal" (Healing Breeze) and replace with a Ward, for party support. It doesn't have to be Ward Against Melee, but can be changed to whatever ward best suits the occaision. Dual Attunements mean the spamming of the fire skills can be increased. The Optional Slot could be Mark of Rodgort or an AoE such as Meteor Shower (if you really have to ) or Searing Heat.
For a build for the Underworld, Shyft the Pyro wins. Blinding Flash works like a charm in the Underworld and gives dreat defense vs the Aatxes.

If you have reached the desert, and ascended, you can switch your secondary profession to E/Me, by either doing a quest or going to the Great Temple of Balthazar as far as I know. If you were to go E/Me you could take Epidemic, which when used with Blinding Flash, can blind adjacent foes, which comes in very handy in the Underworld.
Cruncher Deathblade
Thanks alot Celestial and everyone else for your help. How does the switching the profession work? Can you change back to monk on a regular basis? Does it cost money? Also any other builds are appreciated.
Vexed
You can switch secondaries by doing quests out of the 3 outposts in the Crystal Desert. Once you unlock a secondary, you can switch to it in town at any time through your skills window.

Attributes: Fire Magic --> 12+1+1 (14) Earth Magic --> 10+1 (11) Energy Storage --> 8+1 (9) Bring Enchantments last 20% longer mod on a weapon if you want. It's not really needed though. Jsummers
E/Mo PvE renewal nuker (Fire:16/Energy:10/Heal:8/Protect:2)
[skill]Glyph of Lesser Energy[/skill][skill]Rodgort's Invocation[/skill][skill]Fire storm[/skill][skill]Glyph of Renewal[/skill][skill]Meteor Shower[/skill][skill]Heal Party[/skill][skill]Fire Attunement[/skill][skill]Rebirth[/skill] The cornerstone of this build is the 10s recharge of glyph of renewal. Here's a usual sequence: renewal+shower+GLE+Rogort+Rogort+renewal+firestorm +firestorm... rinse and repeat. You'll be surprised that although your spells appear to have long recharge, you cast almost nonstop and with the help of attunment+GLE, you don't run out of energy untill your foes are all dead. Add heal party and rebirth you are quite versatile. At dire situations you can GLE+healparty+healparty... spam. When everyone's dead you break away and can rez. I have saved missions numerous times like this. |
