Titles=Rewards in GW2 Q_Q
Assyrian
it was said in the magazine that was announced a month or two before EoTN release describing EoTN and GW2... they said the titles on the characters you put into the hall of monuments will somehow benefit your GW2 account...
basically they are asking every1 in the game to PvE and get those shit easy(but long time)titles for some kind of reward in GW2 but yet they dont let you get all these titles without making new characters or wasting a great ass big deal of time ...umm hero alone is like running HA metaway all day for like a year to get close to r9 and for what...its not like your gonna get your tiger on your GW2 account or they would be able to just character transfer from GW1-2
yes we have another year and a half to do it...but wants to spend that year and a half getting titles so you can get something that just some new players come into the game dont have...
like guildwars 2 hasnt even come out yet and they're already giving people from day 1 of GW2 to call people noobs because they dont get this for not having this title...or w.e
i just dont see a + side to this and if any1 does i want to hear about it
as it stands already people cant find groups in PvE or PvP for not having certain titles im not saying i dont like wearing a champion title or flashing a pheonix its just that it's getting to the point were new players cant even do shit anyway

ok, first off, reading that hurt from bad spelling, but i think i got the gist of your point
and 2, if i did get your gist, ANet already said that the items from the hall of monuments won't have an affect on gameplay

Let's hear it for "constructive" criticism!

Hi all,
As far I can remember the whole HoH was put into the game to try and placate the drooling, howling crowds of achievement hoarders into stopping screaming about the fact that Guild Wars Two is going to be a new game and that character transfer isnt possible. (Ok rant mode off ) */whistle
Now we're going to have people complaining about the fact that all these people are going to have achievements to bring into GW2... */sigh
The 'achievements' placed into HoH will end up translating into armour skins or pets or funny hats, possibly special emotes (which could be cool) But then if you're worried about people shouting at 'noobs' because they're so elite, just remember that they are not shouting a noob down into submission; they're just aptly and repeatingly demonstrating their complete lack of social skills and inability to interact with people. Which might possibly explain the reason that they have r12 fame. (they never leave their bedroom/basement/caves and spend their lives on GW ^^) ((no offense to r12 players Id love to have it but never will ))
Skins, weapons, emotes doesnt make a player elite and superior to another player, the only thing that counts is the way they play. Sometimes its worthwhile remembering that we're not all at the same stage, nor level of understanding of how the game plays. 2 years ago I put Endure Pain and Mending on my Warrior and was extremely pleased with his survival rate.
I'd personnaly rather play with a Whammo who's fun to play with rather than a superleet 12 yr old who has no manners and feels the need to insult people.
In anycase, apart the BMP, there shouldnt be any new content coming into GW, so I suppose the thing left to do now is title hunt with your characters.
Personally Ive just started PvP a couple of months ago and I'm having a ball (coming from a primarily PvE playing base).
I guess what Im hammering on about boils down to, pixels do not make someone elite.

Elitism will allways be present at... well... everywhere.
There will allways be someone who will consider himself better (or will be) and shove in your face that you are a "n00b" because you are using mending.
What you are asking is utopic, just look around you, at your school, your work, your family... there is allways someone who is "mean" to other people.
But anyways, what would it be of the good people without the bad? What it would be of the beautiful without the ugly?
And by the way, i use mending and healing hands at my warrior. Is it a bad skill? For a warrior no.
