I think the door should be open for people who have finished the dungeon before.
At the moment you have to do all 4 bosses each time again before being able to enter the Duncan dungeon. This is very annoying if all you want to do is help some friends/guildies complete the dungeon.
Make it so you can go in there again without having to do the other bosses again. But make it so that you only get the dungeon reward and chest if you have done the other 4.
I wouldn't mind doing it without reward if I'm just helping other others out.
This is hampering the social aspect of the game. It makes it harder to play together with friend in the elite dungeon of eotn.
Leave the door to the duncan dungeon open for those who have completed the dungeon.

It's like this so people don't farm duncans level. It's fine the way it is.

Arkantos, did you actually read what odly suggested? It is a common occurrence in our alliance that somebody would want to get company for doing Duncan, and everybody would love to help but are in a different phase of the slaver's cycle and thus must decline. The suggestion makes a lot of sense, and you can't farm Duncan if you only get the rewards from the chest when you've done the other subdungeons but not Duncan before.

To prevent abuse, the following rules should apply:
1. The door to Duncan is closed if anybody in the party has completed the quest but hasn't claimed the reward
2. When Duncan is killed only those who have done all the other subdungeons will get their quest logs updated
3. Duncan's chest can only be used by those who have completed the quest but haven't claimed the reward
Edit: this would also fix another annoyance which is people who join a Duncan run without having the other four subdungeons done. Currently, this results to a lot of wasted time. If the mechanics were changed according to the suggestion, the door would be open in every other case except when somebody had completed the run before but hadn't claimed the reward. Even in that case the player in question would just have to claim the reward right there, zone out to Verdant, zone right back and get the quest anew, problem solved.

Almost 5am and no sleep, sort of just skimmed through the post.
Anyways, I wouldn't mind what the op suggests.

Under the conditions the OP mentioned (no chest+reward) this sounds like a good idea.
Terada Fumio
so leaving the door to mallyx open, too, under these conditions?

And then people would directly go Duncan instead making all quests before.
Nah, nah.
They should make the opposite change for Sorrow's Furnace and the Anguish.
Making the previous quests should be prerequisite to make the last.
Ah, and they should change the first area of the Dungeon into an outpost, just like the Real of Anguish main outpost.
