What is the most time efficient way to farm for the upcoming Wintersday? I'm trying to max out my sweet tooth title, and I'm less than half way there.
I know it's easy to run around on my ranger killing Charr in Ascalon normal mode, as two hits drop them easily, but they're so spread out and there's no chance of making a lot from merching the whites. 55ing in Bergen HM and vanquishing Cursed Lands gets me Orrs, but not very quickly and it's VERY boring. MS+DBing on my sin outside of Sunspear Great Hall in HM gets Juvenile Termite Legs, but it's still not quickly. I got more Saurian Bones A/Eing in a day than several days of farming Istan.
If anyone has advice and can help me, please post.

I found that the Gates of Kryta mission with my 55 monk does the trick...NM and HM. NM is much faster of course due to the lessened scatter effect, but HM has better gold weapon drops, and the chance of tomes.

If anyone suggests Charr outside of Piken, don't do it. You get a charr carving every minute, avg 200 gold per run in merch/gold, and, with a 3:1 ratio, have fun going from now until christmas for a stack. I do splinter/barrage outside of Nolani for singed skulls. It gets terra-boring, but hey the skulls drop fairly often. The only bad thing is when the Shatter's put Imagined Burden on, slows you down alot. Gather up all the gargoyles and lure them together, then in about 3 shots you kill em all. A cyclone axe warrior works too, i find it alot slower.
With the Mo/D build for GoK, you can do gargoyles on hard mode, takes a while but you get some tomes and occasional lockpicks.

Piken farming worked when I was a newbie, but it really doesn't work now. >-< Could anyone tell me the exact build for GoK HM? My Bergen build doesn't survive hits from 15+ enemies at once. And I'll try the gargoyles.
What exactly is the Gates run? Cast enchants, run through the back path and kill everything that spawns or is there more? Because as it is... two or three emblems a run is pretty bad.

With shielding hands or soa you can take any amount of enemies, just switching them off when one runs out.
And for HM, instead of purge bring holy strike, use it on them when they fall, doing around 300 dmg per strike.

On a single target? What's the point? Wouldn't Balth's Aura be better? It's what I use in HM. Only way for me to kill monks.

I just tried BA, it killed them all, but it took forever. That kind of AoE dmg in hard mode scatters them almost immediately.

I find that grawl necklace farming is very effective. Some runs get me up to 10 necklaces.

I just run my MM for the Gargoyles. It's fast once you have the minions up. and you just sit back let them take them all out while you take a 30 second nap and then pick up your goodies

I cannot finish a HM run of GoK. I took out BA for Shield and I've only managed to kill the first group and a warlock after six minutes. They keep running away from me.

But that means any golds I get are worthless minus mods and no chances for tomes or picks. If it can be done in HM, I'd prefer that.

I usually pack my wammo with Vigorous Spirit, Triple Chop, Cyclone Axe and Whirlwind Attack and head to Eastern Frontier. Lots of Grawls

Can anyone suggest a basic build for 55 around hot springs? I get into trouble with the poison degen and they're tendency to run from AoE.
Also, do you just get the few groups outside Bergen then re-zone?

Mo/D: PS, HB, Mystic Regen, Essence Bond, Balth's Spirit, SoJ -- the other two can vary (I prefer more damage skills, some want more protection like SoA/SH/Mending...it's really up to you how comfortable you are running a 55 and controlling aggro).
EDIT: If you try GoK HM, take the defensive skills (huge aggro behind Oink's house).
EDIT #2: The Mystic Regen handles the degen from poison, but you can also take Smite Condition if you like (and it does nice damage with a better recharge than most smite skills).
