Obsi Tank Build Questions...
Pure Trex
This is my current obsi tank build.
[skill]Armor Of Earth[/skill][skill]Dolyak Signet[/skill][skill]Obsidian Flesh[/skill][skill]Grasping earth[/skill][skill]Wary Stance[/skill][skill]Glyph of Concentration[/skill][skill]Endure Pain[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
Now a Couple of questions on this.
1) I group them all fine but after like 10 - 15 secs of holding them the aggro breaks and i always double check nobody has skills to do this can you see any reason why this happens.
2)Im not so sure about wary stance or Glyph of concentration they dont seem to be used atall much when i tank (wary stance is no use to me as i only take 3 tactics with me which is again suggested on PVX Wiki) but im going straight off the obsi tank build on PVX Wiki which suggests using them do any of you have any better suggestions for skills to take there place.
P.S: I only have Factions and Proph currently
Thanks.

1. You're tanking. Because they are unable to kill you, any damage they take will be taken into consideration for scatter purposes. This means, at most, only 3 melee will stay trained on you if they aren't being hit by AoE that would cause scatter again.
2. Wary Stance is for immunity to attack skills (and thus attack skill based interruptions). Glyph is for any interruption, but it itself can be interrupted.
I would suggest that, with your campaigns, make a Dragon Slash+"Save Yourselves!" bar (requires rank 1 Kurzick/Luxon +3,000 K/L faction to buy "SY!"). It will 'tank' better, and do damage at the same time.

DS + SY + FGJ + Enduring harmony (/P skill) = best tank imo.
And don't use kinetic armor on a warrior.

Enduring Harmony would require him to have Nightfall.
DS, FGJ, and SY is good enough for a general warrior. Throw in an IAS, Sun and Moon Slash, and a Conjure and you're set.

Its Armor of Earth, the icon is messed up. Though I wouldn't recommend either on a warrior anyway. Tanking builds must die.

I don't see how those replys help him hold aggro while using obsidian tank?
The only thing I can think to do is to keep track of grasping earth and recast it periodically.

You don't. OF tanks just take the first round of hits, and hopefully the team takes down the opposition before the second round.

An obsidian tank is designed to absorb the first round of attacks, which are generally the strongest attacks, they eat up some energy and force skills to recharge so the party can move in and attack with virtually no resistance.
This is no longer a very efficient means of play save in the rarest of cases.

ok, i been reading lots of pots in the warriors forum, even the one on "how to keep agro" im not obsi tank, i use a triple chop build followed by cyclone axe so i can do some damage to all foes and hold some agro, but as soon as i unflag my henchies/heroes and they starting attack (no aoe to scatter them btw) they go for my H/H ://
i read'd a lot of topic saying taht "warriors arent tanks", ok fine, but we do have to take some damage to the mobs dont run to our healers right ? i totally aggree you just need 1 defensive skill like SY, or Watch Yourselves and thats it but how you guys manage to keep agro with H/H or even with a group ?

I don't bother with keeping aggro with H/H.
Basically, I flag them back, have them cast some Prot on me if I'm packing a Hero monk, then take the initial aggro - the important thing about AI is that the first volley of spells and attacks can often overwhelm them. The pressure after the starting spike the AI can, however, handle.
As long as you, the human Warrior, takes the first wave of meteors and demon claws right in the face, the rest of the hench will be fine.

Knockdown. Even if you're not using a hammer, you've got Bull's Strike, and with GW:EN, Brawling Headbutt/"You Move Like a Dwarf!".

armour buffs only happen once.

You really cant hold agro for long, but you can slow/stop the most dangerous foes to your soft backline. When you agro make sure you identify what foes are the biggest threats to the rest of your party, knockdown/criple or just kill those as fast as possible.
You can also look at skills like [skill]Grasping Earth[/skill] and less effective [skill]Frozen Burst[/skill]

If you are in a PUG, get the casters to try to stay out of the enemy's aggro range. So, like pooping in to cast, then going out again as his keeps the monsters locked onto you, the prime target.
As for H/H it is useless as they will sit in the aggro bubble like fools until the group come raging after them.
I guess you are trying this somewhere like UW? If so, use the walls to your advantage. Flag you group to a corner spot and tank just ahead of them, puling the enemies into the wall. If your H/H are slightly diagonally behind you, the monsters will try to reach them, but ou will effectively be blocking them off.
Hope this helps
