Dagger Mastery, Without Factions?

Yes it's me again, the noob who knows nothing I was just wondering if the only way to get dagger mastery is to buy the expansion pack that includes Assassin, I'm doing the Norn Knuckle fest quests and 1st prize I got is a Gold knuckle that requires +9 Dagger Mastery, which is kinda unfair cause i don't have that class available to me (I will buy Factions, but atm, why have weapons that require class skills that are unavailable, I may be wrong but I've googled and in so far as I know I need factions )

I've been enjoying this game immensely (UT3 gets 5% time, GW's 75%, Other 20% Onlining = Porn, just kidding, I'll prolly buy all Xpansions, I think the 'Knuckies' I speak of are untradeable, it just seems like an unfair prize, is it the same for everyone or is it random?

Yes, the only profession that can invest in Dagger Mastery is the Assassin which requires Factions to have any access to. But everybody gets the same reward for that quest, so there are probably a lot of gold knuckles lying around in people's storage vaults going unused.

Well I consider myself pretty well versed in GW but I realise im a noob when it comes to that question.

Ok You have to be assassin to learn Dagger mastery, now the question is can you become assassin as a secondary class without owning Factions.

I suspect not but then since I have factions I cannot test out the theory.

No; you need to have Factions on your account to be able to take Assassin as your secondary.


Click on "User CP" up at the top and then hit the "edit profile" link on the left

Im not sure about necro, but blind works well, I know a lot of people say it is easy to kill him with necro, so ask around, im sure someone will be happy to help and send a build, you may need more campaigns though, as the build will probably need skills from all of them.

It is the same prize for everyone.

FYI, the other games are stand alone games, not expansions. Quite a bit more content than Eye.

As for fairness, remember that they need to provide content for people who only own Factions and Eye of the North too.

You can give them to the assassin hero you can get in Eye of the North.

The game will also drop daggers as loot. There are Assassin bosses with green dagger drops too.
