BMP Saul's Story
dts720666
I completed Saul's story first time through. Getting to the three bosses at the end is pretty easy. Just follow the road and avoid charr.
Defeat the three bosses. Again, pretty easy.
The four waves of attacks get a little tricky, especially the third wave since the various mobs come almost one after another. The trick, I found, was to let the Mursaat tank for you, and as they are getting hit, wade in yourself.
When damage gets too much for you, run back up the hill to where you killed the bosses, and heal up. Your dead companions will self rez.
After beating it, I went back and completed two of the bonus items. One is to complete the entire thing in about 25 minutes (I think). the other is to find the five alternate routes. This basically means killing every single char in the entire map before going to kill the three bosses. There are five charr camps, and you need to kill all the mobs in each one. Then, to get credit, go run around near the fire pit, and you will get credit for it. Again, some of these mobs can get quite heavy, so just aggro and run, aggro and run. It took me an hour to kill them all, which isn't great, but I was able to do it.
The bonus discovery I cannot complete no matter what is keeping all the Krytan villagers alive in the opening battle. Any tips or suggestions?

I am sorry that is a major spoiler for people who havent done this mission yet
VitisVinifera
it's pretty tough, and involves some luck, as in krytan villagers not running off. Use your first skill, the interrupt one, to interrupt fire storm, and hopefully all the casters are balled up so you can keep interrupting them. The good thing is it's right up front. If you get the message, that means you failed, so hope you dont get it

Did anyone else think Saul's character model was a little rushed in comparison to the other NPC playables? He looked nothing like the concept art's images.

Am I the only one who felt like crap after Saul's story?
*Spoilers*
I knew the Mursaat were evil and stuff, but the fact that Saul was saddened and realized he would be considered a hero for damning them all, I mean, I wanted to cry.

In addition to your ward, use the Rations if you need to keep the villagers' Health up.

I kinda did as well, I knew sort of about saul and the founding of the white mantle but I didn't know this much detail, it's rather mucky actually. Puts the whole Prophecies story into perspective, doesn't it? The fact that everyone you're fighting (that was there in the BMP) is really only keeping up a false story, that was even torn out of their hands and made even worse due to the Lich. I really felt bad for them after that.
Lady Raenef
I didn't like Saul's story. To me, it didn't really feel like a necessary story, or it could have been done better. The mission felt like a chore. Now, Togo's mission, that was FUN!
Gigashadow
Togo's mission reminded me of Kill Bill.

For Saul D'elessio
Number 6 + 7 skills is very importaant, 6 heal, 7 recharge signet faster, and the first 4 are signets. number 4 skill recharge instantly if you use it on minions, and there are alot of minions.
For Togo Mission
Heal Talon number 5 skill, make spirits number 1 + 7 as you need the spirits for energy using numbers 6 skill, keep up Talon and your energy and you'll be safe.
For Gwen Mission
run run little mouse and hide. rocks pick them up and throw them at anything that look suspicious.
For Turai Ossa Mission
Easily get lost, run towards the mountains area and the roads is winding.
easiest one, since its mostly all warrior skills, except you get to stomp people!

My question is what did the Mursaat actually do with Saul? Did they sacrifice him to the Bloodstone or what?
Onarik Amrak
No one knows. Maybe he'll show up in GW2 in some form or other?
Maybe they trapped his spirit in a Jade Armor.
Maybe they decided to probe him...

Gonna agree on Saul's model, I was pretty bummed when I saw it.

The story is tragic, which is consistent with the whole prophecies campaign theme. Here you have a good-intentioned hero trying to save his people and things end up blowing up in his face. The same applies to us - the players.
I truly felt bad for Saul, although I have to say I didn't quite understand the reason why the Mursaat felt they had to dispose of those "less faithful" White Mantle who looked quite happy and grateful for their saviors - the Unseen Ones.
Poor Thommis after all his heroics, to end up enslaved by Duncan the Black!

It wasn't the unfaithful; it was the fact that they saw their awsomeness.

Maybe the Mursaats knew Saul would make people stop worshipping the "Unseen Ones" because of their cruel slaughtering of the less faithfuls? After all, Saul is the champion, not the Unseen Ones in Krytans' eyes.

Another question is:
Why did the lovey dovey Dorian and company turn out like that (all evil and stuff)? Orders from "above" you reckon?

What usually happens when you get a bunch of unelected people in charge with all the power?

Timed bonus:
Just follow the trail. Watch the patrols. It's very clear where you can walk. The patrol starts walking when you get close enough. Theres one part where a patrol comes right at you, after the "hidden" bridge. Just go into a little "pocket" in the road and they wil go right by you.
Kill the bosses, and then position yourself on one side of the open are, where 1 of the two spawns appaer. You kill of one group and leave the second to the mursaat. Or do as outlined below (for the last battle). This wil get you the timed discovery with no problem at all.
Saving the villagers:
With some luck and using 1 ration and the healing skill awarded I managed to keep all the villagers in the littel starter "village" alive. Rember: this means keeping all your "henchies" alive.
The fact is you have to keep your "henchies" alive through the whole mission. So the use of skill nr 8 and skill nr 5 is essential.
When you get to the 3 bosses and have killed them the mursaat appaer and walks down. Stay behind them and let the mursaat take the innitial aggro. Go in and help kill the charr and "call" your team back a ways behind the mursaat again. Go through all the charr waves this way and you wil be able to keep your "villagers/henchies" alive. Be a bit wary of the last boss, big aoe there.
Discover 5 areas:
Honestly, I havent managed to do this. The charrs disapear and appear right on top of me all the time. Very strange. Can't seem to clear more than the first area then, deadness
Hope this helps a bit for those strugling.
If anyone can come up with a good way of getting the 5 areas discovered, let me know.

My question about this story, it feels incomplete... *SPOILERS*
Ok so Saul dissapears, what happens to him? Does he die? Or maybe his soul becomes corrupted. This was one of the stories that interested me a lot, but i felt needed some closure. Maybe he comes back in GW 2 as a boss?
*/SPOILERS*
Its was my first mission finished and rly fun. Lotta skill casting, lengthy too. I just cant do gwen's story and turai's story right. Very hard IMO

But you don't have to keep all your henchies alive.
