What's your best axe/sword?

I Like My Sundering Crystalline With my Tormented Shield And My Fissure Of Woe Armor With Tinted Spectacles.

Sword ~ Shinobi ~ (I have a short monk and this sword skin suits him really well)

Axe ~ Chaos axe ~ (mainly because it looks awesome with eternal sheilds which I love)

sword = Longsword and Crystalline
axe = chaos ,sephis and stygian

I'd love to have a perfect R8 wingblade or long sword. But, I like my IDS. Fellblades, sephis, crystalline, meh. Eternal blade...i'd LOVE to have one to sell for torm weapons and obsidian armor on every character on my account.

Tormented sword...not a big fan...but I could learn to love it.

Axes..stygian reaver/Murakai's reaver. Sephis axe. Chaos are too overplayed. Everything else is too small or looks idiotic. Some of the axes from the BMP are nice.

Hammer: Undead hammer, i have a really nice Righteous maul, 15^50 r9 icy +30 that dropped exactly like that and is staying that way. (conjure frost ftw) Otherwise not a fan of hammers.

Shields: the list is endless. Tormented, mursaat, enameled, darkwing, exalted, aureate, my paragon's R8 eagle defender. Gloom, that insect carapace shield from NF(not the amber or iridescent or their derivatives....something that looks more like a gloom)...

Surprisingly I don't have too much of an opinion on many weapons. The really flashy ones for the most part dont do much for me. I guess it just needs to have substance.

Axe: Chaos Axe
Sword: IDS or Celestial Sword
Shield: Tormented Shield

All go so nice with 15k Kurzick armour.

Note: I don't have any of the aforementioned items.

My new favourite sword is a Runic Blade

I've been using a fellblade for ages, got a muraki's blade as a drop, decided i loved the skin and went out and bought a shiny new runic. Love it!

Although I must admit I'm trying to decide if I like the Tengu or not. Sometimes I say yes, other times I say no.

I've got two warriors, one male, one female. The male warrior almost always uses a sword, the female an axe. That said it's stupid not to play Dragon Slash Spam God Mode, so my female has a sword. Also my male might eventually pick up an axe one day so I got him one. My male warrior uses Gothic, Runic and Icy Dragon for when I've got a necro that has shivers. My female warrior, when she does go god mode, has a golden phoenix blade. My monk and mesmer both use caster's blades, golden phoenix and singing respectively. I also don't mind the look of Aureate which is similar to Singing. I also like the look of the Etched Blade and it's a shame it only comes with combat mods, otherwise I might be using it as a caster's blade as well.

As for Axes, I really like the Runic Axe. I don't mind the Tyrian Sickle (and other realistic looking war axes), but there's just something cool about the Runic Axe. I've got 3 of them. I also have an Icy Shadow Axe for the same reason my other warrior uses an IDS.

Shields, I'm kinda wierd with. For my warriors I just use a Strength Exalted Aegis. It's stats are ok, the skin isn't horrible and they're easy enough to get a hold of (I've had 8 characters finish factions and there isn't much else I liked there...I've gotten 2 of these shields, Ceremonial Daggers and sold the other amulets of the mist). I've gone looking for other shields, but tbt, I'm rather blase about all of them.

My Paragon is different though. I don't use command or motivation with her, but I do use Tactics for "Watch Yourself!" and because of that I use a tactics shield. My paragon has used Sunreach's Shield and a Sun and Moon Shield (with the same stats as Sunreach) and is currently going with the Shield of the Hierophant.

I don't use Hammers.

shield: tormented is no. 1 but i like milita shields as well


one day i have to drop all this rare stuff get a new warrior with leather armor wooden buckler and a gladius/spiked axe. Simple but nice looking.

Favorite sword/shield combo has been my FDS and Shield of the Wing. I rarely use anything else. Just recently got a good Tall Shield, too.
