Looking for Good Shield.

I'm have a problem, I need a shield that doesn't have any req and I can't find one. If you have any suggestions for me let me know where I can get it or if you can sell one to me.

The highest armor rating without having a req has been seen to be 10, and thats rare, you can usually get one near the beginning as loot.

I thought the highest non-req shield was 8 armour. Try and find a wintergreen shield, they are 8 armour and inscribable.

That was reduced to 8 sometime ago.

One thing to look for are no req shields that are incribable - there are inscriptions that grant additional AL (usually vs a specific damage type, but it's still handy).

any shield regardless of req will give you half the amount of max armor. So for a 16AL shield that will give you 8AL if you dont meet the req. Hope that helps

Maybe you can use Hassin's Shell. Don't see why you would want to though.

Hassins shell is a green that is +8 armor and +20 hp, good shield for anyone at a low level that doesn't have anything better.

i used to snag that thing for my hero's back when i had no good shields and it was +10 armor w/ no req
