Sorry a-net but the economy is poop. GW really needs more money sinks to deal with the inflation. I suggest something called SUPER ULTIMATE ARMOR OF PWNAGE! Ok maybe it needs a better name but the point it 15K isnt a good enough money sink. Have this armor cost 50K a piece! Muahahaha. Also make a Game Store man where people can buy festival items and sell festival items to him. Another idea, which I'm actually serious about, make merchants only able to buy what they can afford. By this I mean dont just let collector's buy ectos from players infinitely. They can only buy from the people what they earn from the people. This way money isnt being generated but is instead circulating and sinking. This idea may seem a bit weird but I know what I mean and that's all that matters

Money sinks that would be great.

Street Armor, a new seller that has 30k armor.
All armor looks like thug armor of todays modern days with a lil GW touch.

Pve Skill pack.
80k you unlock every elite skill for your profession for that campaign.

Effects
can buy skill effects (does not work in pvp)
Such as 700k have perma Symbiosis on you whenever your /R or R/

Nothing of consequence costs a lot of money in-game, and that's a good thing. In order to actually play at full effectiveness doesn't really require a big investment of gold, and that's a good thing.

A person can have a billion gold, and it won't buy them weapons that do more damage or armor that provides better protection. It's only the prestige or vanity items that cost a lot, and I'm perfectly happy w/ that.

Here's an idea - if you really really need a gold sink, then go to a rare material trader and buy as many ectos & shards as you can - problem solved.

Or, if you're feeling generous - give it to some newby and show him (or her) around.

So if I have 5 sets of this Armor, because I think it looks better than any other that is out there...that makes me a retard?

You have your own option of what armor you want for your characters, but I can not have an option for mine?

You make no sense!

It's sad to see people asking for more expensive things than FoW armor. I hope this isn't halfway serious. There's a world outside of GW. If you farm so much that obsidian armor is too cheap for you, then you have a very serious addiction.

That GW rap was nice .. except of course for the music which was off.

at least we can bleed together. I dont know what was worse the rap or the suggestion. Heres a money sink, find my character, Nighteyes Tzimisce, and give me all of your money. If you farm often that find, i can take as much as you can give. I will also take materials such as ectos and shards. Contintue to sink and eventually I will be happy and you will be broke. Solving to problems at one time.

Hey, I'm all about some new armor or maybe more uber weapons like the Tormented.

GW could use more goldsinks, I think. Not that I'm rich or anything, but it'd be nice to see something that's fun as well as useful for pulling extra gold out of the economy. Maybe they can take the idea from the Norn Tourney and have more fun minigames, complete with little prizes like booze or sweets, that you pay 100g or so enter? They have the mechanics for battles/races/puzzles etc already in place, after all.

I thought the rap was actually fun to listen to, but no, it isn't something I'd listen to regularly.
The music was just the Prophecies Opening Theme/GW Main Theme. I thought he did the lyrics decently.

That rap was hilarious...pretty well thought out except for some parts ("meet the white mantle, beat the white mantle"....wtf?).

I think the whole "merchants have a set gold pool" idea is pretty nice...would kill inflation instantly, gold farmers would be out of a job, and casual players (which this game is for anyway) would still be able to sell their loot when needed.

Anet already tried to solve inflation: Loot scaling.
Look how much that failed.

Can only hold 100k on your character at once so if it was in some kind of explorable area you would need to visit it like 3 times to get a full set. Why do mats not count? FOW is like a million gold or something (dont want to bother adding it up) and I think thats good enough.. if you have FOW on all your characters and you're still playing this game... i dunno you play this game too much.
