Dwarves!!!

What if GW had a playable dwavern race. For some reason, I like dwarves better than humans, even elves. Just imagine, your city is completly underground with plenty of space, shelter, and protection. I mean, how long do you think it takes for an army to break though doors that are made of stone and steel. Their the best, what do you think?

Wait for GW2. It's a bit late to suggest this stuff now.

In Gwen, the Dwarf infuses them self with the power of the great Dwarf and litaraly turn them selve into stone.
After defeating the Great destroyer and all of the destroyers, the dwarf numbers start too drop

*fast forward 200 years into guild wars 2*

There are only a handfull of them, living in solitude, in far back caves out of reach of civilization. They have become legend and are almost instinct.

Just like in the Elder Scrolls, they're gonna be all if not mostly gone.

GW2 atricles have pretty much stated that there will not be dwarves, as they all got real hard headed.

To be fair it really wouldnt fit in ^^ I mean the classes are splint up into Warrior/Ranger/Monk etc etc. Its not like some games that splits up not only into professions but also races such as Elder Scrolls. So it would look out of place if you had a Dwarf in there.

Thats true, but not everything that they say for now is confirmed. So no one truly knows whats gonna be on the game...yet. Like I said, its just a suggetion.

only because Anet made a hand full of dwarfs to stone in the story of EotN, doesnt mean, that this race will never be playable..

NOT all Dwarfs are now stoned *g*, or do you think, that those dwarfs in there story there are ALL dwarfs of the dwarfen population in GW ? lol
When all dwards should be non playable, because all got stoned, then should also be our ogden stone ..the stone summit should be stone ect. pp.

GW gives us with GW2 now Pseudo-Elves in form of the Sylvari..why should Dwarfs be unplayable ?
Dwarfs are the most traditionally playable race from all, they are inteded to be playable imo...
When Anet has a problem with the tradition, only because of some whiners, which cry permanently then....GW = WoW or Gw = LotRO, then thats the only reason ,why GW2 will have no dwarfs playable, because of all the selfish whiners, which dislike dwarfs and want not to see them playable in GW2, because they fear, GW2 will be like X *insert now WoW here u whiner)

But its also anets ridiculous intention to try to be whatever must be done unique..when Anet wanted to be unque from the start on, then there would exist from the start on absolutely no traditioninal creatures in the GW university...then there would bbe no dwarfs and no centaurs in GW at all, when Anet would **** on the traditions

Why I say now, that all these WoW-Whiners are selfish? because they totally ignore, that there might be people out there, which love these traditions and want to see them too playable in GW2 or in generell in GW. People, which don't care for things, which make the game more universal, more individual for each different taste the players have in kind of choosign, what race you want to play...only because such people hate so much WoW and think, WoW is the mother of all MMORPG's >.>

Dwarfs would fit to the game, whats that please for a bullshit u said there Wakka...when you say this, then you can say also direct, that the story and GW at all doesnät fit together, because Dwarfs were part of the story.

I think, the Add on has shwon absolutely everyone, who isnt either braindead or blind, or even both, that races won#t be splittet into classes in GW2 ...

All races can be played as all classes ..so simple is that, or will somebody tell me, that people here are so extreme blind and haven't seen ingame Warrior Asuras for example ?

and that, where Anet calls this races as a magician race, where all those WoW-Whiners direct think only - that asuras in GW2 will be surely played only as mage class and that the races will have surely such racial benefits, which will empower this, so that players will run only only as Asura-Eles, only as Norn-Warriors ect ...

when I read such bullshit, it makes me sick and believe, that people really don't think about, what a crap they write - no that they write only, what they fear, that GW2 will become, because they know such scenarios from much older bad concepted MMORPG's.

i want dwarves to be in gw2, i find them to be the best race in tolkien history, which really sparked up all these games with elves and goblins in them

Pretty sure the playable races we are initially going to get in GW2 are:

Norn
Sylvari
Asura
Charr
Human

That seems to be what all the press on the game indicates. They may add more playable races later in an expansion though...who knows...

Phoenix, I got my information the same place we got the information for the dragon of orr, the fact that were will be no Cantha because of emprore Usoku. The fact that Elona will be over by Palawa Joko a few years after our hero die. That Lion Arch will be flooded. That the Sylvary will learn for the teaching of Ventari.

Want me to continue, we do know some of the thing that will append in GW2, and I can tell you that playable Dwarve will not be one of them. The Dwarve that go have not gone through the Rituel, they do it later. Just has Ogden Say, even if this is not the time for the Human, the Charr or any other race, it is the end for Dwarve, in Victory or death.

But it is quite possible that Dwarve will be NPC, actualy I can see it that we meet Ogden, or killroy or any other major Dwarve in GW2 and they tell the story to the descendent of our character.

One last time: DWARVE WILL NOT BE A PLAYABLE RACE

Phoenix, you might want to go and find a copy of the PC Gamer GW2 special edition before you call that shit. There's pages and pages of lore in there about what happens between the end of GW:EN and GW2, and yes it does state specifically that the Dwarves are pretty much gone from the world, save for a very few. They will not be a playable race, Anet has already stated what the playable races will be - Norn, Asura, Human, Charr & Sylvari.

Whether that changes in the future who knows, but five races and a minimum of 6 core professions is going to be more than enough work for them as it is.
