btw, what's the point of using a req8 caster axe on a monk instead of any other req? You're planning to spec 8 in axe mastery in a monk build? looks like the first yuletides were found recently. It was only a matter of time before they dropped. I'm not really sure if their are 3 of them or 1 thats been sold a couple times. Anyways seeing that in 1 weekend 1candy corn tonic dropped and1-3elf ones dropped, these might not be that rare and we might start seeing 2-3 drop a week of each type. Its also possible the tonics dropped in the same weekend because ppl started to buy and use hundreds of keys once the news of the candy corn tonic.

The Deathbane-Upgrade seems to be a little bugged, because most weapons, that have a Deathbane-Upgrade after IDing it, are not inscribable.....

It has been like that for a while now...

I think what is a little bugged is that deathbane is the only vs mod that comes on things from GW:EN and Zaishen Chest. Or at least it is the only one that I get from them. My items of deathbane still usually have inscriptions.

Another 100+ opened, nothing too special. Guildie who hadnt been on in a couple months got back, opened 4, and got a req 9 Obsidian Blade.

what i meant was the fact that when ever i get a drop that is meant to be inscribable, and it doesnt have an inscription slot, it normally has the deathbane mod. this has happened to me a fair few times, including a r9 legendary sword!

I forgot to say. I got a r11 19% vs. hexed inscribable, with deathbane several days ago. I remember it clearly, as I thought of the deathbane discussion here when I id'd it.

Isn't it because Deathbane aint a inscription... its a Hilt or Pommel (what ever xD)... and if a weapon comes without an inscription (wich is pretty rare), it just remains uninscriptable... ?
I remember my first ele sword when they were still rare... r9... none inscr.. gg

The point is: if a weapon is uninscribable, it has a deathbane mod.
It's not: if a weapon has a deathbane mod, it's uninscribable.

It's around 1/3 of all drops with Deathbane mod that don't have any inscription nor inscription slot. They're just like the gold weapons without any damage mod that were always in the game. Except that Tyrian/Canthan ones can sometimes drop this way no matter if they had a Mobtype-slaying mod or not.

And here's my latest chest, a bit against the odds:
18 keys -
10 golds
2 lockpicks
2 tonics
2 cremes
2 flasks

None of those golds were req.9, all of them went straight to merch after id'ing, I only kept a +30 fortitude staff wrap.

Yea but that chest and those keys arent there to be bought....

that chest IS A REWARD FOR PLAYING PVP.... and since Balthazar faction IS FREE only ppl loosing money are those stupid enough to BUY keys instead of playing the game for them... and u can get em free... along with fame, points and whatever u earn doing so...

so stop whining... its not meant to be sold... its a reward for hard work playing pvp... 2 years ago u could only buy skills with faction and upgrades for pvp... ppl had 100k faction sitting on their account after few good ha runs... now they have something to do with em...

and u ppl that buy keys in some crazy idea u can get even richer... LOL percent of ppl gambling and winning is always <0.1% off ppl actially playing and loosing... so if there are more greedy ppl out there waisting money on luck... its ok... u always loose at the end...

coffers, zaichen... all money sinks for greed...

money sinks for entertainment too, not only greed. I've been playing since day one of prophecies. I have everything I want for my characters, so I buy zaishen keys now just for the fun of gambling...

on topic:

my last few keys got me a req 9 celestial sword, req 11 stygian reaver, and a req 9 strength emblazoned defender...

about deathbane... any 19% or 20% species slaying mod can only drop on a gold item. the item is gold because it has a 'gold' modifier on it. deathbane doesnt force an item to have no inscription slot like it seems to be implied here, but it does force it to be gold if it is 19 or 20%.

They are talking the reverse, if the item does not have an inscriptions(and dropped from the Z-chest) then it will have a deathbane mod on it.

It can have both an inscription and deathbane, but as of yet I have not seen an item drop from this chest with no inscription and no deathbane mod.
