Journey to the North buff and the need for change Survivor

Survivor needs to be changed now with the current additions to GW: EN. Already the title has been a joke because of the tomes, max bonus weapons, and easy to obtain max armor if the character was from nightfall. Now the game has made the title even more brain-dead to obtain. Once hitting level 10, which is only 40k XP, the character can go to GW: EN, get a buff that instantly makes them level 20 in stats and armor. Also, max weapons and armors are easy to obtain in all campaigns and even if they don’t have the bonus weapons. With all the starter quests, gettting 40k XP is easy to obtain in presearing and both noob islands.
I understand that the hardest part of getting survivor was getting to level 20, BUT THIS IS NOW A NONISSUE. There is now no reason to keep the /deaths requirement.
Everything else is the game does not penalize you for making early mistakes. If you make a bad build, can you go back into town and change it. Remember that refund points were removed long ago. If you die early in a zone, you can work off your DP rather quickly. This is the only thing in the game that once it is gone, it is gone, and that does not match with what the rest of the game is like. Also a lot of characters were made before the title system. Don’t forget the design of the HoM. Only titles from one character matter when things are being transferred to GW2. If your main character doesn’t have the title, or was made before titles, you are up the creek.

Survivor is easy anyway, if anything you should be in favor, It's just another dumb title to max; Whatever makes it easier = yay.

no what they need to do is give the characters that existed before the survivor title came out the ability to get legendary survivor. now THAT would be a useful survivor change.

There nothing in the updates that suggest that is is weekend only, so i assume this is the new feature. Similar how the the PvP chest is probably perm.
And the point is that that the they keep making the title easier for new characters, removing the pestige of the title, while still keeping it impossible for older characters to gain the title. For me getting the 1.3 mil XP would be harder on my character now when I have all quest completed than a new character with all the quest to do. But it wouldnt' count because it is not my main character when it comes to HoM, KoaBD title track, and unlocks for GW 2.

The hardest bit of survivor was never the first 140kxp. You have that by the time you get off newbie island and you really have to go out of your way to die there. The hard bit was in either having the presence of mind to stay alive while capping elites or having the patience to engage in mindless xp farmin for hours on end.
That being said, yes something needed to be done about survivor for existing characters when the title was first introduced and something still needs to be done about it.

Its quite obvious this is only the promo for this weekend. Survivor doesn't need to be changed at all.
Anet has just made it so people can try out GWEN who haven't as of now.

The only way you can see Survivor 1 as the "hardest" is in the era of well-known farming spots. Which makes the title completely pointless anyway if thats how you look at it.

Getting rank one is the hardest because you need to places in the game where you can get max armor, etc. You have to advance through the storyline to get to places where you can easly farm, etc. The last 1.5 million experience is actually really easy to get (hello doorman for FFF). The last part of the title is just grind.

They could even make it double exp of current title. Just have it start with a quest and run till 2.3mill or a death. My title char is 31 months old .. sure as hell not starting him over.

Survivor is extremly to get, but we'll it just got a hell of alot easier. I say make more creatures like Oni's on noob islands that go for the player, deal high dmg etc.

the title needs to be changed,ya, but as said not in this way...
what the survivor title needs is a way to reset the death counter temporarely, so that old characters can also receive their chance to get the title, without punishing/forcing the players to delete these characters ....
and defender of ascalon needs also a change, so that character which are out of the presearing, befoe the title came, have a way to receive the title ...
just an other hard way, but makeable, hwich requires similar long time, as death leveling, but has nothing to do with death leveling at all ...
so that the player receives the choice, if you want to receive that title as perma presearing char, then you have to death level for it ... or you want to receive it as non presearing chara, then you have to so somethign else, what has somethign to do with Ascalon and fits to the name of the title ...
best imo would be, to do a certain sum of elite quests, where your character has to fight versus ever bigger growing char invasions from the north, which want to ambush Ascalon...say for example..the player has to defense Ascalon vs. xx Charr Invasions first ...
Once done, the player receives another quest, where the player has to form a Counter invasion to ambush the Charr Main Outpost...
making a big crusade from Ascalon to the North of the Charr Homelands
This woukld be a nice way to give the game some nice elite quests, that could be done with 16 man groups.... quests, which work like little missions, where you are in the final war against the charr to bring it to an end.
This big Main Elite Quests could contain then also little side quests, which could be done too, to improve the success chances of winning the war (and thus increasing the success chances for the main quest completion)
Little side quests, like getting certain material from an ambush of a charr material convoy , which allows it the human then to bring in into the war more siege weapons later, or ambush other convoys to increase naturally the morale of the humans...so that charas start later in the final war with some little buffs...

however, what ever anet eventually makes, LDoA needs really a change..it should become a title, that should be obtainable by all charas, regardless if now presearing or non presearign character....both ways should have their own ways of receiving that title ...
the normal player, hwich players then normally the game would also receive then a chance to receive both titles ..survivor and ldoa....meaniung, thids problem wiould be solved then too, that the conditions of both titles wouldn't neutralize each other then anymore , because there would then exist a way that consitsts no death leveling...

Survivor is hard, if you obtain it the hard way, the only reason it's so easy for some people is because ahem… FFF anyone.
Personally I just got the title on my Dervish (the way it should be, no FFF for me), and being a Melee class is hard to keep yourself alive, especially when my computer loves to crash...
The title is as difficult as any other title it is fine as it is, like all other titles.

And to be honest, right now the title is retardly easy with this update
Get to lvl 10 in the starter areas in the game
Get runs to the capital citys
Go to GW: EN, to get instant lvl 20 buff, and farm the worms solo. Remember the snow farms are stationary warrior with only mellee attacks. as long as u dont' stnad next them you can't be touched.
Get to real lvl 20, then go to HM, and farm the worm to the max rank
There you go, the easiest method to get LS. How you should judge the difficulty of the title.
