I suppose this the "Economy is dead" thread of the week. Brought to you by GWG community, once a week, since the launch.
Player based economies change. Static economies don't. One of them is boring - guess which.

The only things that are not effected by this shift in the economy are crafter weapons and armor. More black dye dropping would mean black dye costs less. More Superior Vigor means it costs less. If you need those things, you are glad they cost less.
Now, if you are selling, and are mad that you can't get 100k+ecto for stuff anymore, consider the other side of it. What are you planning to use that money you make for? Buy a new weapon that has a rare skin? If so, guess what, that price has probably dropped as well, and now you don't need as much money anyway. The change didn't effect you. Want FoW armor? Guess what, ecto/shard prices have dropped, and it isn't as expensive as it once was. Yes, there will still be items that cost a LOT of money. Making that money will not be as easy. However, the common things, which the average player wants, can be obtained without farming for hours a day, weeks on end. This is good for the average player, and except for a few (very few) items, the change makes no difference to the hard core player. |
