GWEN Let Down

To quote the review in PC Gamer.."ANET must have phoned this one in" Sad but true like many others I was looking forward to the release of Eye of the North but was really let down. Don't get me wrong anet was fantastic with the graphics as always but content wise the game itself was a let down.
All it is is more title grinding for what? nothing.No new content,guildhalls,no new playable races just title grinding. Big deal your efforts at placed in the Hall of Monuments....again a big whoopie do ...who cares...it serves no purpose except to show you spent hours upon hours grinding for something useless.


And now they are cracking down on the gold sellers...had not ANET screwed up so badly with the economy then there would be no need for such services. No one wants to bust their hump for hours on end in hopes "which is very slim" of getting something out of a chest or a drop that might be worth something. Even in game your paying for things that aint worth it.
For those who played through the first 3 installments of Guild Wars when you first sit up your guild hall it was 100 gold for each thing you wished to have..now ANET has added 3 more things you can add to your hall as well...at 10 plat each..someone was sniffing fumes when they thought up that one LOL.
You buy keys to open chest and 9 times out of 10 it's a crappy purple with stats so bad that was not worth the money you spent to buy the key. the only thing anet got right with this one is the graphics and the art as always some of the places in GWEN are breathtaking and truly amazing.

Perhaps ANET will get it together in Guild Wars too but at this rate I will not be buying it the moment it hits the stores ..This thread will not be up long ..over time I have noticed it you do not have anything positive to say about GW the thread gets locked. go figure lol.

i think other NPCs for the hall were 50-100k... not 100g...

no the other NPCs were 100 gold each. the new ones will cost 10k each which is pretty stupid

When it comes to the GWEN chest drops, I'm 100% up for a rant.

Anet owes me some money back cause I know I paid more than 100gold for guild hall NPC's. But the 10k price seemed very reasonable to me, I was expecting the price to be around 50k each.

no new content in GW:EN? did you even play the game? visit any dungeons? do any quests? gain any heroes or PvE skills? get some of the rewards? explore the explorable areas?

GW:EN has loads of content for the PvE player; a lot more than Factions had.

The main storyline isn't too long, which is good for most people as they have many characters. taking them all through a long campaign requires a lot of time, so it's cutting down on the time required to be spent ingame. That's more grind? You don't know what you're talking about.


..and for the record, GW:EN chest drops are no worse than anywhere else in game. People just cry more because they have to use lockpicks and they break. Try opening the locked chests in hard mode. That's where the golds are.

GWEN was exactly as I expected and I am very pleased with it.

How much longer before people start realizing that GWEN was an EXPANSION!! Not a NEW STAND ALONE CAMPAIGN but an EXPANSION.

GWG mods don't lock threads because people criticize GW... GWG mods lock threads because people WHINE about GW. There's a difference there.

EDIT: For the record, your whine about GWEN only offers more titles to grind for... I'm assuming you're just complaining err sorry I mean WHINING about not being able to access the armor crafter unless you've hit r5 of whichever title. There's this... Hero's HandBook you can obtain which you can redeem for reputation points. R5 can be obtained with you simply playing through the storyline but making sure to pick up bounty where bounty is available.

The most logical solution in your case is to stop posting on these forums and get something better to do for your spare time. New skills?
New condition (Cracked Armor)?
New monsters (Jotun, dinos, etc.)?
New quests?
New races (not playable though)?
New armor?
New weapon skins?
New titles?

You are right, GW:EN didn't add anything new. Titles are something to grind for. Some are done while sitting in a town, some are done while completing missions, some are done by killing monsters in explorables, but all are done by some form of grind. You can do EVERYTHING in the game with no grind, at all. Want a set of armor, and need rank 5 of a title? The game will give you rank 5 just by playing it. Rank 6-7 is barely out of reach, its only the top ranks of those titles that require any grind.

Try looking at what was given, not what you wanted. If you are not satisfied with what was given, stop playing.
