Death lvling lion in jahai bluffs, possible ??

Is it possible to death lvl a lion (aggressive lvl 12) by having it kill a hero ??
I just tried that, it killed my lvl 16 hero for over an hour, and still not a single lvl =o
what is the problem, it doesnt get exp from hero's or is it that spesific pet that cant be lvld that way ??

You can't death level non-captured pets like you can hostile creatures.

I've death-leveled a pet before, though it's been a long time.

Always had the pet kill my character and not the hero though, so not sure if it matters. Sounds like it may, so I'd try having the untamed pet kill your character instead of your hero and see if that works.

my char is a survivor, thats why i let it kill my hero instead

can someone confirm that they lvl on heros or not ?

I would think a hero counts as a level 20 kill, but I've not tested that. If you want I can go afk there whhile you death level it (2 computers and 2 accts)

The only way I've been able to death level a pet to dire for any of my heroes is to have it kill me, have a hero monk rez me, and then have the hero for which the pet is intended charm it once it was at level 16.

Yes.. that's the only way to death level them... before you charm them.
Another approach to making the animal aggressive besides the start-and-cancel-charm technique mentioned in that article is to attack it (double click on it)... and as soon as it turns aggressive cancel the attack.

looks like heroes dont count. just go with the normal pet leveling build.
