You can't honestly tell me that with this new BMP and all the new Race driven weapons, you didn't think about Rare Material driven weapons. I've always thought shard hammers would look kinda cool, so imagine Rare weapons made with Ecto, Shards, Diamonds, Onyx, Saphires, or Rubies. Any input? If this is already up, I'm sorry mods I couldn't find it.



Yes, I said other rare weapons. And i also mentioned Race Driven weapons, i should have clarified. They made SETS of weapons, more than just 1 or 2. I mean these materials for every weapon. Maybe not craft them, but certainly intruduce them. I think it would be better if Shard/Ecto weapons were crafted because they aren't used for anything but foW and Chaos gloves. So i meant to say wouldn't it be cool if weapons were crafted and looked like the materials they were crafted with. So sure onyx diamond are in Destroyer weapons, but i mean weapons that resemble the material used.

onyx and diamond have been done with the destroyer ones.

but some others could be used in this way, it would be ace for ectos to be used for other things that are not horrid looking gloves or fow armour or another form of currency.

Well the 'ecto' set would be the Ghostly items.

Currently, for those there are only a pair of gauntlets, an axe a sword, a bod and a shield. Chaos and Eternal.

They are not crafted they drop.

Although I think they should make the rest of the sets, and equip all ghots with them.

I hate when I see a ghost with a physical shield.

I agree...ghostly weapons of all weapons, or just give every ghostly the weapons as I also get really annoyed seeing a sunspear ghost holding a tangible spear and shield. Doesn't make sense.

I think crafted items would be neat, but ectos purpose is supposed to be intended for the armor. I would hate more stuff to be released, because then I'd have to go buy them.

I would realy like to have a sword with an electric aura, similar to a stormbow, but with a more tangible metalic blade. Could use deldrimore steal or something, with diamonds, or onyx, and ectos for the electric aura or something along that line. Wouldn't matter to me how costly it would be to craft, I just realy want an electric blade type skin. Or (as i thought should have been since day one) when you put a icy/fiery/elctric/earth mod on a weapon there would be a little bit of that element coming from the weapon visually. This is just something I want to see though, the other ideas for ecto weapons and such would be nice to see as well.

I also agree with the ghosts weilding real weapons, very silly imo. Would be nice if they had their own weapons sets, just 1 of each kind would suffice. Would be even better if they were a rare drop as well, not neccessarily golds or max, but a drop dependant on the lvl of the spectre.

yep, really all the core classes are covered, and to some extent anet TRIED to include the core type weapons (shadow and eternal/ghostly) into the newer classes

However, I would like to see:

ghostly/eternal scythe
ghostly/eternal daggers
ghostly/eternal spear
shadow spear

FYI, rits are covered, all anet had to do was slap a rit attribute requirement on shadow/ghostly staves that dropped imo

I wondered about this from the time sins came out, and I really hope that before anet starts to push more into gw2 they round out some of the missing "core" skins like these. Thanks!

I dunno, but a ecto is kinda purply and round, so the weapons would be really bland and uninteresting...

Don't you think so.

Ecto may be purply, but not thins made out of it. See the Chaos gloves.

Most ghosts are just Greenish. The only purply ones are the Tormented ghosts of the Torment are of the Underworld.
