Effect on GW from Power Outage
Bon
If I fry my computer does Anet have all the information stored in their servers for me to reinstall the game from my disks, start from where I left off or do I have to start from scratch? I mean of coarse from a new computer. I ask this because I just had a power outage and my computer would now kick back into Windows, I had to do a CHKDSK thingy, this made it work but before that I panicked a little thinking I lost everything on my computer.

Yes, A.net has all your data stored in their servers. You just need to reinstall and update. Then you can start playing where you left off.

Yup, Actually, I dont think any game progress or anything is stored on the user-side as that would allow for editing of information?
All you'll have to do is re-install via discs or from their site, and log in to DL the updates. You won't lose anything at all with your account.

One thing you WILL lose is your skill templates. So find the text file where they are stored and back it up online or elsewhere

lol I think if you fry your computer, GW will be the least of your worries.
To answer you question, no you won't lose anything except build templates. Those are fairly easy to replace though.

You will loose your skill templates and screenshots. So backing those up would be a good idea. Having a backup of the Gw.dat file would also save you a lot of download time, not to mention it's always hady to have a backup in case the file gets corrupted..
