Should we earn gladiator title points in AB?

If anything is to be changed the glad title should be restricted to TA only, not added to yet another format where mending wammos, tanks and 55 monks are considered to be awesome builds.

We already earn Luxon/Kurcick points there. They are account/wide because the started as PvP titles.

After earning so many gladiator points, I was pissed that they changed the whole way of earning the points. When they changed it from 10 wins to 5 wins to earn one, that ticked me off, honestly. It became so much easier to get gladiator points, when I already had rank 1, almost rank 2, and then this happened. Now I'm almost rank 3, but still! It ticks me off!

Now you want gladiator points in AB?! For that to work properly, your team would have to be flushed back into the game as soon as the match is over, you would be instantly put into the next round. If your team mates are complete morons, this won't work well. When the twenty minute match has ended, people want to leave, take breaks, move on with life, eat something, or just go do something else in GW. Not always sit around for another AB. And when they leave, you're down a player, and you can't get that player back. In order to enter, you need 4 people in a team, not one person. The odds of you getting 1 person to fill that spot, is 0%, due to the fact, that no one will be able to split from their 4 man team, or else their game will have a 3-man team. Get it?

So, no. I have 391 points from playing Random Arenas. If you want points, play Random or Team arenas, and quit complaining because you want an easier mode of pvp to give you gladiator points. It's not hard to get Gladiator points anymore, it's harder to get 'random' teams now days with all the "3 warriors" or "3 assassins" to a single team. You have to learn how to play RA is all. Even if you're good at RA, you're not a good player. AB, and RA don't make skill. I'm decent at RA, but who cares? It's RA.

As for AB, it takes me less skill to play that. In RA, I have to focus fire, constantly swap targets, watch my team management, watch what the enemy is also doing, all at once. Because you may be hit with a spike, or may be running too far from your team, or end up unleashing a spike onto a person blocked by Aegis when you could have waited 3 seconds to have your attacks unblocked. It takes more thinking.

In AB, I get in a group by adding thirty people in less than 10 seconds, and wait until 3 accept, which is usually quick. I go in, and there's no skill, at all, to win. You run around in circles capping points. Killing the npc's, and occasionally those who get in my way. Wow, difficult. It's like a runned down special ed version of Hero battles, only with players instead of heroes. Unfortunately, not everyone understands that shrine = win. I like the mass effect of it, so sometimes when I go in, I don't care about the shrines, I just kill stuff, it's more fun.

Anyway, gladiator in AB = NO.

Seriously, only wammos complain that they have no titles. If you are serious at pvp, titles = null.

If anything it's /notsigned because all of the maps in AB except one give one of the sides an advantage; where as TA and RA at the very least give both teams an equal playing field.

i don't like the idea.... ab does need something to spice it up... as gameplay should not be the only reason for doing it ... for all of us that does not grind ab faction i would like something else... increased faction would be nice... even though im fully unlocked in all expansion i still like those zaishen keys

not quite sure how this would work (ra and Ta have to have consecutive wins to get glad points without porting back to town). in ab you port back to town after each round so how would this work?

possibly the worst idea ever? NO! First of all how long would it take to get one glad point for 5 wins in ab? and second i played RA when a glad point was 10 kills. Do you know how many times i lost at 9? I never complained because it is supposed to be this way for a reason. If you get glad for ab, i want luxon faction for HB, and fame for TA!

This is really a horrible idea. The gladiator title is a RA/TA title. If you don't like RA/TA, then it's too damn bad, really. You should not be rewarded gladiator points for winning some horrible form of PvPvE.

This is perhaps the worst idea ever.

There are so many things wrong with this it is impossible to list them all.
Let's not make Guild Wars reward a lack of skill more than it already does.

Kurzick/Luxon titles are for AB.
Hero is for HA
Glad for RA/TA
Champion for GvG

Let's keep it that way. Sometimes hieracheral structure is healthy.

Why stop there? One AB victory should be 1 champ pt, 10 fame, and 5 glad pts. If you win in a disadvantageous map, it increases to 20 or 30 fame. Every NPC you kill, you get a commander point. You get bonus points for each consecutive victory.

Divine, people actually think that's way.

Actually, I should make a proposal saying every time you finish a mission, you get 2% cartographer, 20 sweet tooth pts, 50 drunkard min, and 10 party points.

Why don't you get Kurzick/Luxon faction for playing in RA/TA? Because that is not the arena you are playing in. Gladiator is not a general PvP title, its a RA/TA title.

However, if this idea does get approved by some stroke of stupidity, can I earn Champion points doing Fort Aspenwood?? It would only be fair.

Gladiator points: Earned by standing consecutive matches in teams of 4 people versus 4 people. Extra NPCs exist only during battles with Priests.

Alliance battles: Single Battles of 3 teams of 4 players for a totlal of 12vs12. 12 people. After the end of the battle, all players are returned to their respective outposts. No conscutive battles. There are a lot of Extra NCPs.

Hm... absolute no relation. Like giving Hero points for making Competitive Missions.

i personally think you are DEAD RONG!! i think its the other way around. it takes alot of skill to win in AB and u need 12ppl with skill i mean in RA its 100% LUCK that u get a good team vs a bad team in fact y dont you even get luck title pts. for RA!(jk about getting lucky pts.)

Since when did ab become 1337? Doesn't take a genius to avoid the large amount of red dots on the radar and look at the u-map for the shrine thats opposite to the color of your faction.

Did someone break your sarcasm detector? On topic (kinda), im not gonna sign this, but i WILL sign the first petition to offer a level up to all titles everytime you go through a portal. Just think of the bot scripts: x->r->x->r-x->r. It would be EPIC!

But what about TA? TA probably does deserve its own title seperate from RA(though the way RA transitions into TA, it would be hard to implement), but compared to AB, TA takes way more skill to be effective. You can run Defy Pain in AB and get by, but run it in TA, you lose horribly as it should be.
