Triple the drop rate of Lockpicks ...

Hi,

Second day of event and I got 250+ Sparkles, near one stack of Hale / Honeycombs and ... one lockpick.

I am just very unlucky or there is something wrong?
Or the lockpick drop rate is so low that the 3x increase doesn't make any difference? :P

Last night I got five picks and 40-50 of each weekend item.

Yeah I have been wondering about this myself. I seem to be getting less lockpicks than I normally do when I farm event items.

I've gotten plenty of lockpicks, ale, and sparklers but no honeycomb.

Ive had over a stack of each event drop, and around 9/10 lockpicks.

I've had about a 1/15 ratio on lockpicks to holiday items.

where are you guys gettin so many items? I got like 1 or 2 sparklers and ales (no lockpicks) from clearing a zone

Are the items only dropping in EOTN?

even so, i did 2 primary quests earlier and got none

Ya I think it's only EoTN. I also did a bunch of quests and zones in HM and I didn't get any lockpicks but I got some ales and some sparklers.

The triple drop only affects EotN areas. I've gotten 9 so far, with only around 30 of the other items. So probably 1/10. Not too shabby imo.

lockpicks are supposed to drop? I have gotten 1 sparkler.....oh well, that is my luck.

Well, lockpicks have been changed to have the same drop rate as other keys, so it's possible they weren't (supposed to be) affected by the triple drop (I don't know about the triple drop thing, I'm only guessing here), or, they were supposed to be affected but normal key drop rate is so low it appears as though they haven't? Or perhaps it's a bug.

My lockpick drops have skyrocketed, so no complaints here.

If you carefully read each message so far, then take a bit of perspective on the whole situation, you realise that Anet's random function is actually pretty good!

Funny that any good random function would generate so much questioning. Other games are less random and we're expecting this to stay the same .

I've gotten 3 purples from 45 or so chests so I'm happy. Least one thing is working!

I also got about 3 lockpicks.

Got about 10 lockpicks today, but about 70% percent of the chests dropped purple. Pretty pissed at that..

Didn't get nothing myself... but never get tired of drinking some Ale!

done Fronis Irontoes lair about 6-7 times today. got 1 or 2 lockpicks every run. also did a number of quests along the asura primary quest line with some friends and abou 8 lockpicks dropped for the party. They seem to be dropping all over the place

A guildie of mine got 4 lockpicks this evening within 90 minutes. Drops are really dependent on luck - I haven't had a single lockpick drop yet, but maybe I'll get a few later.
