Second day of event and I got 250+ Sparkles, near one stack of Hale / Honeycombs and ... one lockpick.
I am just very unlucky or there is something wrong?
Or the lockpick drop rate is so low that the 3x increase doesn't make any difference? :P

Yeah I have been wondering about this myself. I seem to be getting less lockpicks than I normally do when I farm event items.

Ya I think it's only EoTN. I also did a bunch of quests and zones in HM and I didn't get any lockpicks but I got some ales and some sparklers.

The triple drop only affects EotN areas. I've gotten 9 so far, with only around 30 of the other items. So probably 1/10. Not too shabby imo.

Well, lockpicks have been changed to have the same drop rate as other keys, so it's possible they weren't (supposed to be) affected by the triple drop (I don't know about the triple drop thing, I'm only guessing here), or, they were supposed to be affected but normal key drop rate is so low it appears as though they haven't? Or perhaps it's a bug.

If you carefully read each message so far, then take a bit of perspective on the whole situation, you realise that Anet's random function is actually pretty good!
Funny that any good random function would generate so much questioning. Other games are less random and we're expecting this to stay the same

I've gotten 3 purples from 45 or so chests so I'm happy. Least one thing is working!

Got about 10 lockpicks today, but about 70% percent of the chests dropped purple. Pretty pissed at that..

done Fronis Irontoes lair about 6-7 times today. got 1 or 2 lockpicks every run. also did a number of quests along the asura primary quest line with some friends and abou 8 lockpicks dropped for the party. They seem to be dropping all over the place

A guildie of mine got 4 lockpicks this evening within 90 minutes. Drops are really dependent on luck - I haven't had a single lockpick drop yet, but maybe I'll get a few later.

i got 4 lockpicks while doing darkrimedelves, and then later while taking my ranger thru the norn quests with a guildie who was also just starting gwen, i think we got about.. 6 or 7 picks together. decent amount of ale and sparklers and honey.

update, got 6 more sparkles,3 honeycombs and one lockpick (and I will remind myself to not use them in EOTN since I used it and got 2 grapes ---actually kept it after the first chest! both merch food, not even a good mod to strip from them either).

I did Cathedral run 5 times and Frostmaw 1 time.. got more then normal lockpicks but also opened all chests and got all golds

They tripled lockpick drops? That explains it. I was just doing standard quests, forgot all about the weekend because I already have GW:EN, and got like 2 of them during a random NM quest. Plus a sparkler. I was so confused. :P

Just running the NM Norn Quests early this morning and today, got 4 lockpicks, and the chests dropped a gold and 2 real dandy grapes.
Also ran The Breach solo and scored a black dye on the 2nd group.

I've been doing okay so far. Been vanquishing the Asuran areas this weekend, and so far I got 3 lockpicks, 5 sparklers, 10 honeycombs, and only 1 ale. Also opened around 10 chests, all of them gold. So, I guess more lockpicks than ale ain't bad.

Only one lock pick after spending a huge majority in Eye of the North. Got tons of Superb Charr Carvings though, loving that!

Meh, I only played PvE for like 30 minutes or so yesterday, and got 2 lockpicks. Opened the chests and got 2 golds. 1 crappy scythe, and one not so crappy req9 dolyak prod staff. Guess I'm happy.

Lucky........i have gotten Zero Picks, but Tons of Ale, Sparklers, and Honeycombs, in just 6 hours of farming i am close to a stack of Ale and Sparklers.
