(lol, fail, you cant make polls in this forum)
melrandru's arrow vs glass arrows

It's a toss up really...it all comes down to preference.
If you wanna do extra damage and get the occasional bonus of bleeding go [skill]glass arrows[/skill].
If you want consistent degen with the occasional damage spike go [skill]melandru's arrows[/skill]
You also should take the attribute into account...more often than not your expertise will be higher than your wilderness survival
If I had to choose I'd go with glass arrows because I prefer the consistent damage spike and I run high expertise.
As for prepared shot of course it's good...as long as you run a preparation.
A fun conditioning spreading version is
[skill]prepared shot[/skill][skill]distracting shot[/skill][skill]concussion shot[/skill][skill]screaming shot[/skill][skill]apply poison[/skill][skill]epidemic[/skill]
And if you prefer a more interrupting build
[skill]prepared shot[/skill][skill]distracting shot[/skill][skill]savage shot[/skill][skill]concussion shot[/skill][skill]rapid fire[/skill] or [skill]read the wind[/skill] if no eotn.
Again running relatively high expertise to counteract energy cost..at least 13.

Normally, I prefer glass arrows for PvE. With conjure or Orders, glass arrows, "I am the strongest", along with zojun's and point blank alternating, you can get some high numbers repeatedly. It's also fairly mindless since you are more or less spamming Zojun's and point blank while watching things die.
It doesn't really take advantage of what rangers are good at (interrupts etc.) but at least for normal mode PvE, it's not a ground breaker. You lose out on poison though unfortunately but I think it evens out.

i myself prefere melandrus arrows...but thats me

I prefer [skill]melandrus arrows[/skill] also. More people(especially in pvp) are enchanted. I rarely see people blocking. :D

PvP - Melandru's
PvE - Glass

For those that do prefer melandru's for pvp, is it because you use poison tip signet with it? Honestly, bleeding is a decent cover condition but bleeding degen isn't nearly as grand as poison even if you were to spread it about. The only time targets of opportunity are enchanted reliably is during aegis chains etc. Granted, I doubt anyone would run either of these two preps in deciding PvP matches.
Wouldn't straight up damage in this case be better? It's not like melandru's makes your arrows nonblockable if the target is enchanted. Glass arrows has no conditions for the additional damage and it's expertise. I really can't find any reason to use Melandru's unless they added that it makes your arrows unblockable if the target is enchanted. Of course, they'd have to reduce the damage or something and even then, I'm not sure I'd use it over magebane as an example.

You rarely see people blocking? I guess you play on Ascalon arena or something Seriously, every decent monk has blocking skills, not to mention rangers and assassins.
Apply Poison > Melandru's Arrows
Apply Poison > Melandru's Arrows

Melandru's Arrows only find their place in dual ranger builds. Barbed Arrows is way too unreliable. each Ranger would carry Apply/MA and spreads the degen.
for spikes, it's Glass Arrows.
