I just... finally give up on this quest.
After over 20 attempts, today i came to my closest, destroying the last guardiun dude. Turns out because of those ***** little thingyys, i lost since they were the new nuker. I made it almost through the ENTIRE thing, with 2 nukers and a mesmer as a hero, and 2 ele and monk henchys. I dont even know what to do now. I just have lost all sense and i cant even get this BS hero. Any tips for a person wanting to sue Anet?

If you have EotN, use Xandra instead. If not, try and find a pug, and LB goes a long way.

Use Gaze of Fury on the spirits to kill them without spawning anything.

Do /rt. Or use a hero. (you have factions right? just get 1000 faction and unlock gaze of fury)

Also, lure well, not idiotically.

I've only got 2 experiencs in this quest.

One is to wipe at the first two parties. The other is to breeze through it without a single wipe.

[skill]Gaze of Fury[/skill] goes a LONG way in this mission. It saves you 3 big fights. The rest of it is about flagging H&H way back and pulling with a longbow.

Its really tough if you fight 2 groups, but should be fine if you fight 1.

The spawns at the last spirit (the one closest to the entrance) will actually fight any other mob there. What I did was save one group of Torment creatures and hugged the right wall. On my way back I spawned the titans who then proceeded to fight the nearby mob of Torment demons. I then happily killed off the survivors then the spirit and got my reward

If you can't get the two groups close enough to fight one another, send in a "sacrificial lamb Hero" to lure one group into fighting the other. Then watch them duke it out. Very satisfying... (Poor Koss, sent on a suicide mission... )

The hardest part for me was at the very beginning, when you have to back up to near the entrance and wait for the patrol that comes right up the hill at you. Then you deal with the group at the bottom of the hill, then you hug the right wall and work your way around.

I never even knew about or used [skill]Gaze of Fury[/skill]....

With my Wa/Rt I loaded up on running skills and Gaze of Fury, having no intention to fight at all.

Start by using gaze on the first spirit at the very beginning.

I then flagged a hero to the far left of the first room. That left one group for me to have to run past down the right path. In that path there are 2 maybe 3enemies which are very easy to run past. Once to the end of that path you should be able to see the 2nd spirit. Run to it trying not to aggro any enemies and destroy it using Gaze. The 3rd spirit is just around the corner, do the same to destroy it.

The hardest part is now trying to run through the mob on the bridge. It's not easy but is very doable. It took me a couple of runs to get it down.

I didn't find this quest all that difficult. The only thing I paid more attention to (beyond just slugging my way through) was pulling the first few groups.

Smiting Monk - Me
Illusion Mesmer - Hero
Healing Monk - Hero
Minion Master - Hero
Healing Monk - Henchman (Kihm for Aegis)
Support Paragon - Henchman
Warrior - Henchman
Dervish - Henchman

Just pull back and wait at the entrance for the first mob to come to you and then pull the other groups one at a time after that. If you attack them instead you'll likely have to fight about 4 mobs.

Anyway, other than right at the start the rest should be easy. Oh, and just finish the titans one at a time. Seems you're using a lot of eles. With titans you just end up making one ele break into two derv ones. So either have more nuking so it doesn't matter that you've doubled the spawn, or kill them one at a time so you don't get swarmed.

Haven't tried gaze of fury for this quest myself, but sounds like that would be the easiest way to do this.
