character name with japanese symbols

I always trade with people with japenese symbols and i can ever add them to party cause i cant type there names ><

anyone know a trick that can help me make one?

Click on their name in the chatbox.

That'll put you into the whisper channel.

Click on their name in the whisper target box.

Copy and paste it into your friends list/party box

You need to go to Japan and buy the game there.

so theres nothing i can do with like windows vista to make me type those keys or something. Sorry for the trouble.

I think you can, but I don't know how.

I've set French keys onto my laptop... but I don't really remember how I did it.

some of the language packs might allow it, you would have to check them out.


I have a japanese laptop (bought in japan while I lived there) and when I play gw on it I can change my language to japanese characters--I get a cap A for english and a カ (if I remember correctly) for the japanese ones. (I dont like to play on that computer because the keyboard is different and I usually hit the 'change to hiragana/katakana' key and start typing away in japanese )

CTRL + C copies whatever is highlighted, CTRL + V pastes.

I know with XP I got a language pack that types in Russian (умшвутсу шы руку). I don't know how to do it in Vista though.

If you want the Japanese symbols for names don't bother trying because you can only have English characters in your name.

Sorry to disappoint you... but you really need a Japanese version of GW in order to create a Japanese character/guild name (same for Chinese characters)
